Please note that students must complete the proper enrollment request process in order to be eligible to enroll through WISE.◦ Students are asked not to contact faculty or host schools

directly to request enrollment in a WISE course. WISE students must enter their information into the WISE database so

that grades may be transferred at the end of the semester, so the home school can verify the student’s permission to enroll, and so that the student will be accounted for in the consortium balance of trade.

Host faculty are not always aware of the number of WISE students the host school is able to accommodate or the administrative lead time needed to provide guest access for WISE students.

There are often students waitlisted for WISE enrollment. For fairness, students who go around the system cannot be given access over the waitlisted students because of a personal appeal to the instructor.

Availability in WISE courses is based on number of seats available to the entire consortium, rather than a specific number available to Syracuse students, so there is no waitlist for these courses in the SU registration system.

When you request enrollment on the WISE site, you will be informed by WISE if you have been accepted into the course .

If a course is full, you will be automatically placed on the waitlist.

WISE will contact you if a seat becomes available prior to the enrollment deadline. Contact [email protected] to be removed from the waitlist. Remaining on the waitlist does not oblige you to take a seat in the course if one becomes available.

At the end of the course, grades will be sent by the host institution to the WISE Director, who then forwards them to the appropriate registrar liaison at SCHOOL NAME for posting.

Allow 2 weeks from the end date of the course for grades to be available. Check that this schedule will not interfere with graduation plans or financial aid, etc.
