You may be interested to know that the Alexander Rutherford Scholarship honours a man who dedicatedhis life to developing the learning system in this province. Alexander Rutherford was Alberta's firstPremier and the first Minister of Education. He also founded the University of Alberta and served as itschancellor from 1927 until his death in 1941.

This scholarship, offered through the Alberta Heritage Scholarship Fund, represents one of the manyopportunities available for Albertans to pursue their learning goals. Since 1981, this fund has providedover $410 million to more than 240,000 recipients like you.
