PPE & TRAINING

• Tool Pusher and all crew members had some type of facial hair.

• No H2S Monitors• A few had H2S Training but had never

been FIT tested or worked with an SCBA.• Had to look at training cards to tell me if

they had H2S Training.• Area that we were going to be drilling is

known for high concentrations of H2S.

Actions Taken

• Called Manager and briefed him on what we were going to do.• Called a Safety Company and had them send someone trained to

be on site 24 hours a day until we could get the crew trained and fit tested.

• Called Drilling Company Manager and Drilling Company Safety Manager and offered to take care of getting their crews trained.

• Had crews fill out Medical Evaluations, once approved, had H2S trainer come to site. Certify and Fit test crews,

• Total Time – 5 Days
