Un Mensaje de Nuestro Pastor

Mis hermanos y hermanas,

¡Espero que todos permanezcan bien y con calor después de la semana pasada! Ahora tenemos más razones para dar la bienvenida al "sol de jus cia con sus rayos cura vos". Este es el úl mo fin de semana antes del fin del año eclesial y las lecturas nos llaman a estar listos. No sabemos cuándo vendrá Cristo en gloria, por lo que prac camos: "Por tu perseverancia asegurarás tu vida".

¿Cómo prac car? Cada año, tenemos la hermosa solemnidad de Cristo Rey para recordarnos que “permanece erguido y levanta la cabeza porque su redención está cerca”. El próximo fin de semana, como parroquia, celebraremos en la Misa de las 10.30am la redención con la iniciación de 7 personas en nuestra fe. Ellos nos "dan tes monio", su hambre por lo que ya tenemos, siempre me ayuda a querer crecer en nuestra fe. Pero la forma más básica en que prac camos para la venida del Señor es vivir bien cada día; haga lo correcto y en cada momento, ama a las personas con las que estamos y no deje que la locura del mundo nos consuma.

Este también será el úl mo fin de semana que el Diacono Pedro está aquí con nosotros hasta después del año nuevo. Si lo ve, por favor de agradézcale por su servicio entre nosotros en los úl mos meses. Oren por él y los otros seminaristas, para que se haga la voluntad del Señor en sus vidas.

A Message from our Pastor

My brothers and sisters,

I hope everyone stays well and warm a er this past week! We have more reason now to welcome “the sun of jus ce with its healing rays.” This is the last weekend before the Solemnity of Christ the King and readings call us to be ready. we do not know when He will come in glory, so we prac ce- “By your perseverance you will secure your lives."

How to prac ce? Each year, we have the beau ful Solemnity of Christ the King to remind us to “Stand erect and raise your heads because your redemp on is at hand.” Next weekend, as a parish, we’ll celebrate the redemp on, the ini a on of 7 people into our faith, at the 10:30a Mass. They’re “giving tes mony to us”- their hunger for what we already have always helps me to want to grow in our faith. But the most basic way we prac ce for the Lord’s com-ing is to live each day well; do what is right and just in each moment, love the people we are with, and not let the craziness of the world con-sume us.

This will also be the last weekend Dcn Pete is here with us un l a er the new year. If you see him, please stop and thank him for his service among us these past few months. Please pray for him and the other seminarians, that the Lord’s will be done in their lives.

Catholic Daughters of the Americas was organized in 1903 and now has courts all over the United States, Puerto Rico, Guam, Mexico, Peru, and Kenya.
