PlannersTake care of your planner, treat it with care!If you lose your planner or it is ruined, you
have to purchase a new one. Planners are a tool to keep you organized. I
use them myself every day.Write all homework assignments down, long
term projects, or remindersPlanners need to be on your person at all
times! Bring planners to every special except gym.
Name tagsName tags are to be worn daily on the
opposite side of the IHM logo of your shirt.Name tags should not have doodling on them,
or any writing or stickers!Return your name tag to the board at the end
of the day. DO NOT TAKE THEM HOME! Place on the names sheet.
If you lose your name tag you need to purchase a new one – let me know! Gentlemen, help each other out at recess.
Don’t mess with the magnets! If you take your nametag off it is a dress code notice.
Wednesday EnvelopesWednesday envelopes will be passed out on
Wednesday. They need to be emptied, signed, and
brought back to school on Thursday. If you see them on my desk help me
remember
First grade Buddies:The Moment you’ve all been waiting for!
We will meet with our buddies once a month for activities.
You will take your buddy to mass every Thursday.
You are responsible for your buddy.NO, you can not request a buddy switch.
Remember how you looked up to your 8th grade buddy? You are going to be a strong role model for their first BIG school experience. They will show the same CARE that you do. Be sure
that they are giving a good example.
Mass: I expect your best. We are the 8th grade, we are the leaders and we MUST set a good
example.
This is how we will do that:We will attend mass with our 1st grade buddies. We will sit in the middle pews to the right of the walkwayYou will be in uniform.
Shirts tucked inNo sweatshirts or jackets are to be worn during mass!
May wear over, but you must take off when you sit down. Remind your buddies of this as well
8th grade sweatshirts may be wornWe will sing and speak responses loudly and clearly.
We will be a good example to the first graders. You are being confirmed this year and accepting the responsibility of a person being brought up in the Catholic faith. Show it!
You will help your buddy follow along in the music book. Your buddy will stay in the pew during communion. You do not need to take your buddy to the restroom during
church. Just get a teacher’s attention and we will help you take care of it.
