Sunday, July 14
On Sunday, groups are encouraged to worship with a local congregation before departing for
home. As a courtesy to local churches, we suggest informing the church you plan to visit, by
phone call or email, with the number of people from your group and the time you will plan to
worship.
What are DIG Groups?
Small groups of 8-9 people from different churches and states, who will dig deeper into each
day’s theme, through guided games, activities, and conversation to Discuss, Intersect, and Grow
(DIG…get it?) together. This may be your favorite part of the YOUTH event, and you will make
connections that will last beyond the brief time we have together in Kansas City. You’ll be in a
circle of people that are not from your church – you can let your guard down and be authentic.
You can discuss your experiences at YOUTH 2019. You can find out how your lives and
interests intersect with others. It’s amazing how so many of us are going through similar things!
You can grow by knowing others, and becoming known by others. Awesome!
Workshops
There are over 45 different workshop experiences! When you are not in a DIG Group, explore
workshops that sound interesting to you! Each one will last between 60-75 minutes and is led by
an amazing presenter. Choose topics that you want to experience or learn more about – find
things that sound fun or meet your passion. No need to register ahead of time (for most of them!)
and you can pick and choose, your group does not have to go together to any single workshop.
Enjoy the variety and share what you learned with your group during your youth group devo
time! Can’t find a workshop that fits? The Prayer Room (1500 Lobby and 1501) and Exhibit Hall
are both open from 9am-6pm too!
Each workshop is offered multiple times, in the morning and afternoon, so no matter when you
have a DIG group, you should be able to participate in 2 workshops per day! There are 15-
minute breaks between workshops, and a 60-minute period when all participants are on lunch
breaks.
Adults may attend any workshop offered, even if the primary audience is youth. Only adults
should attend the workshops labeled for Adults. (well duh!)
Several workshops are High School and Older based upon their subjects and presentation
styles.
Workshops labeled Youth are open to all attendees. (Hooray!)
