"To become a good hurdler you require three key skills: – speed, – excellent flexibility and – extreme elastic strength.

Sally Pearson has all of those in abundance”.Colin Jackson,

former 110m hurdles world champion

Pearson in full flight has variously been described as– a stone skimmed across a lake, or – water in a stream flowing over boulders.

Like all great hurdlers she appears not to so much jump into each hurdle as float over them.

Hurdlers’ Creed

Speed – Start now; start strong

Flexibility– Build options/scenarios– One problem; multiple solutions

Elastic Strength– Develop innate, latent strength– Focus, confidence, risk appetite
