1) Assistant Professor Academic Level-10. In pay matrix

~ Qualifications as per UGC/ AICTE and adopted by Maharashtra State Government vide GR dated gth March 2019/11 th September, 2019.

QUALIFICATION:-

For - AP 1 :Chemical Sciences (Industrial Chemistry/Physical Chemistry/In-organic Chemistry/ Analytical Chemistry)

1) A Master's degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) in a concerned/relevant/allied subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.

2) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC, like SET or who are or have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their amendments from time to time as the case may be exempted from NET /SET

Provided the candidates registered for the Ph.D. programme prior to July 11, 2009, shall be governed by the provisions of the then existing Ordinances I Bye-laws I Regulations of the Institution awarding the degree and such Ph.D. candidates shall be exempted from the requirement of NET/ SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/Colleges/Institutions subject to the fulfillment of the following conditions:

a) The Ph.D. degree of the candidate has been awarded in regular mode only;

b) The Ph.D. thesis has been evaluated by at least two examiners;

c) An open Ph.D. viva voce of the candidate has been conducted;

d) The candidate has published two research papers from his/her Ph.D. work, out of which at least one is in a refereed journal; and

e) The candidate has presented at least two papers, based on his/her Ph.D. work in conferences/seminars, sponsored/funded/supported by the UGC/ICSSR/CSIR or any similar agency.

OR

The Ph.D. degree has been obtained from a foreign university/institution with a ranking among top 500 in the World University Ranking (at any time) by any one of the following:

(i) Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) ;

(ii) the Times Higher Education (THE) or

(iii) the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University (Shanghai).

Note: The Academic score as specified in Appendix II (Table 3A) shall be considered for short-listing of the candidates for interview only, and the selections shall be based only on the performance in the interview.

NOTES:

1. Selection process and appointment as per this advertisement will be subject to the final outcome of writ petition No.12051/2015 filed by Maharashtra All Bahujan Teachers Association V /s. State of Maharashtra & Others in the High Court of Judicature at Bombay, Bench at Aurangabad .

2. A minimum of 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale, wherever the grading system is followed) at the Master's level shall be the essential qualification.

3. A relaxation of 5%

a.) shall be allowed at the Bachelor's as well as at the Master's level for the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Other Backward Classes (OBC)(Non­creamy Layer)/Differently- abled ((a) Blindness and low vision; (b) Deaf and Hard of Hearing; (c) Locomotors disability including cerebral palsy, leprosy cured, dwarfism, acid-attack victims and muscular dystrophy; (d) Autism, intellectual disability, specific learning disability and mental illness; (e) Multiple disabilities from amongst persons under (a) to (d) including deaf-blindness) for the purpose of eligibility and assessing good academic record for direct recruitment. The eligibility marks of 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever the grading system is followed) and the relaxation of 5% to the categories mentioned above are permissible, based only on the qualifying marks without including any grace mark procedure.

b.)shall be provided, (from 55% to 50% of the marks) to the Ph.D. Degree holders who

have obtained their Master's Degree prior to19 September, 1991.

4) Weightage shall be given to the applicants who have published work of high quality and who have succeeded in bringing funds by submitting research projects to various funding agencies such as UGC/ CSIR/ DST/DBT/TWAS/ ISSR/AICTE etc.

5) For Reserved posts, only concerned reserved category candidate should apply.

6} Candidate belonging to specific reserved category from Maharashtra State alone shall be considered for reserved post and they are required to submit Caste Validity certificate at the time of joining.

7) No TA/DA will be paid either for attending the interview or for joining the post.

8} In the process of selection of Assistant Professor, the academic score as specified in Appendix II (Table 3A} of the G.R. Dtd. 8 March, 2019 shall be considered for short-listing of the candidates.

9) 30% reservation for women will be observed as per Govt. Resolution No. Sankirna/ 1096/pra.kra.30/ka-2 dated 1.8.97. Female candidates from open category belonging to "Creamy Layer" shall not be eligible for the benefits of reservation for women as

specified in Govt. Resolution .

10} Current Non Creamy Layer Certificate issued after 01.04.2019 from the Competent Authority should be submitted along with the application, those who are applying from OBC, VJ/NT and SBC categories.

11) Candidates from reserved category, who are domiciled outside the Maharashtra State will be treated as Open category candidates as per Govt. G.R. No. CBC-1290/23116/ pra.kra.378/ mavaka-5 dated 24.08.95.

12) The Reserved category candidate (except SC and ST) should submit their caste certificate with Non-creamy Layer Certificate, wherever applicable.

13) Due consideration will be given to sportsman as per provision under the Maharashtra State Govt. Resolution rakridho-2002/pra.kra.68/kriyuse-2 dated 30/04/2005.

14) As per provision contained in State Govt. Notification No. SRV.2000/ CR(17 /2000)/Xll dated 28th March, 2005, issued by General Administration Department, Mantralaya, Mumbai, candidates must submit the prescribed declaration of the small family as one of the essential qualifications for recruitment of all posts, the prescribed proforma (Appendix-D.)

15) Knowledge of Marathi Language is desirable for all posts.

16) The age of retirement shall be as prescribed by the State Government.

17) A candidate furnishing incorrect or false information ~hall stand disqualified at any stage.

18) The University reserves its right to fill up or not to fill up the posts or to modify/alter/cancel the advertisement.

19) Orthopaedically handicapped candidates having 40 to 45 % disability shall be given weightage from respective category wherever practicable in keeping the spirit of G.R. dated 26th November 1998 and 16th March, 1999.

20) 4% reservation will be observed for physically handicapped candidates as per Government Resolution dated 29.05.2019.

21) The candidates who are already in service should apply through proper channel and bring NOC from the present employer if changed at the time of Interview, otherwise protection of pay and previous services could not be considered. They should furnish all the relevant information regarding their present service, legal proceeding of complaint , court cases, criminal cases, disciplinary actions, if any , pending in r/o his/her existing appointment /services. The candidate furnishing incorrect or false information shall stand disqualified. Any changes in this information as and when occurred after the submission of application from till the completion of recruitment process should be brought to the notice of the University, failing which the University reserves the right to cancel the candidature and to debar him/her from all selections.

22) App lications received after the last date and/or not submitted through proper channel will not be considered.

24) Applicants will be required to enclose attested clean photo copies of the certificates of their educational qualifications, experience, research experience etc. to each set of an application.

25) The University will not be responsible for postal delay, if any.

26) Canvassing directly or indirectly will be treated as disqualification.

27) No queries or correspondence regarding issue of call letters for interview/selection of candidates will be entertained at any stage.

28) Mere possession of minimum qualifications does not confer any right to be called for interview and/or selection.

29) The candidates having cleared State Eligibility Test (SET) from the State other than Maharashtra State shall not be considered for appointment.

30) If the Candidate appointed in the University services after 1 Nov.2005 would be covered under New "Defined Contribution Pension Scheme" and the existing pension scheme (i.e. Maharashtra Civil Services (Pension) Rules, 1982 and Maharashtra Civil Services (Commutation Pension) Rules 1984) and General Provident Fund Scheme will not be applicable as per Government Resolution SENIVE/1005/127/SEVA-4, dated 8 Nov, 2005. This rule shall not be applicable to the candidate who is already working in pensionable establishment, subject to the conditions mentioned in the G.R. No. CPS-1006/87 /SER-4 dt.12 Jan., 2007 & 24 Feb., 2009.

31} Selected candidate will have to submit the prescribed attestation forms.

32) Candidates must quote Serial Number of the Post in the appropriate place provided in the application form, failing which the application will summarily be rejected.
