Billing & Revenue Cycle Management System is a specialized patient billing systems for health care institutions. Taking into consideration the client’s requirements as well as the budget and giving a

full GAP Analysis report, SBS implemented INFINITT PACS for the dental informatics

solutions at Hamad Medical Corporations’ hospitals. SBS was also responsible for the

integration of the INFINITT PACS with the HIS RIS and PACS which is used across all

integrate them with Cerner. The solution was installed on disaster recovery with 10

years data storage estimates and rolled out across all government hospitals in Qatar

and Primary Health Centers.

The project also included basic training schedule for using the onsite, web-based PACS

that manages digital images and information across the dental enterprise. The system

interfaces with a wide range of dental imaging software and EDRs (Axium), creating an

integrated viewing environment with advanced visualization and analysis tools.

Description:

The solution was successfully completed across the pilot hospital and the rest of SEHA

facilities except in Al-Ain hospital. It allows identification of the patient using his

biometric sign of vein reading that uniquely belongs to the patient and linked to his

Medical Record.

Moreover, this solution was branded in Arab Health 2014 slogan as - ‘Malaffi..my scan’.

The new enhancement to the Malaffi registration system uses technology that scans

the vein patterns in the patient’s palm to generate a unique numeric ID for the patient.

Once a patient is enrolled and a unique ID is generated, the system matches the unique

ID associated with the patient to their medical record in a matter of seconds. Date of

birth will serve as a second identifier to complement the biometric check, enhancing

the patient’s service by speeding up the registration process and ensure the right

patient is identified to receive the right healthcare, treatment medications and all other

related services.

The two-factor patient identification system is endorsed by the Joint Commission for

Patient Safety, which sets-up and monitors the implementation of the highest

international standards in hospital operations and patient safety
