This place is special to me because I have just had major heart surgery s there and I quite

simply owe my life to them.

It’s in line to lose it’s children's heart surgical unit because the government thinks that three centres in London is too many.

This just doesn’t make sense, and will put children’s lives at risk.

The intensive care staff were amazing; some of the most talented, inspiring and likable people I have ever met.

They helped me every step of the way; from walking, eating and generally recovering.

These are the two leading surgeons that carried out surgery on me during my 36 hour operation.
