Israel offers to help Arab nations over Iraq crisis

Israel offered to help moderate Arab nations threatened by a lightning offensive by Islamic militants in Iraq, as the country's top diplomat met with US Secretary of State John Kerry on Thursday. Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman told Kerry at a meeting in Paris that "the extremists currently operating in Iraq will try to challenge the stability in the entire Gulf region, first of all in Kuwait," a statement from the Israeli minister's office said. "Israel could provide effective and reliable assistance to moderate Arab states who are dealing with extremists," it added, without going into specific details. Just a few days after visiting Iraq, Kerry said it was "important that countries in the region stand together against the threat," according to a senior US official. The conflict also appears to be broadening with Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki confirming Syria's air force struck Sunni militants on the Syrian side of the Iraq-Syria border this week.

For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty…. And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.

BIBLEQUOTE

(Revelation 16:14-16)

We have mentioned before about there being 3 definable conflicts that are coming. The first involves an inner ring of peoples around Israel. It is a conflict involving Hamas, Hezbollah, Syria supported by Iran / Iraq. This conflict does not involve Russia directly.

It will be a conflict that Israel will overcome but they will be left greatly weakened. This war will see prophecies fulfilled like Psalm 83 and Isaiah 13, 17 etc. At this point there may well be some peace agreement put in place. But it will be short lived. The vacuum left by the destruction of Syria and Iraq during this war will be immense. Into this void will pour Russia, Iran, Libya, Ethiopia. This is the outer ring of nations war. There may be little time between the two wars. It may all be considered Armageddon. Finally there

is a third war – a religious war against Christ and the saints. The woman and beast.…

Saudi Arabia has sent 30,000 troops to reinforce its long northern desert border after Iraqi troops withdrew from the other side, according to reportsFighters from Islamic State, the jihadist group, and its allies have already seized frontier posts on Iraq's western borders with Syria and Jordan. The southern border with Saudi Arabia, which regards itself as vulnerable to the threat of jihadism, is more than 500 miles long. Large parts of it are with Anbar province, the centre of Islamic State power in Iraq and now almost entirely under the control either of the group itself or of Sunni Arab tribes that have allied with it. The last serious incursion into Saudi Arabia also came from Iraq, after Saddam Hussein invaded Kuwait in 1990. Iraqi forces were eventually repelled from the Saudi town of Khafji, the following January, but only after they were attacked from the air by American jets.

Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, Art thou come to take a spoil? hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil?

BIBLEQUOTE

Saudi Arabia is getting very nervous about events in Iraq. They have a huge border with Iraq and the Iraqi troops protecting the border have recently been removed – probably to help in the fighting across the country. This leaves Saudi Arabia in a vulnerable position. Saudi Arabia is an ally of America and is Sunni. On the other hand Iran is anti America and Shia. Saudi Arabia and Iran and sworn enemies. Iraq lies between them both and is a country divided and broken. Both Saudi and Iran want to have control over oil rich Iraq. The Bible in fact puts Saudi and Iran on different sides. In Ezekiel 38 we read of Persia (Iran) being part of the invading army that attacks Israel. However we read of Sheba and Dedan (Saudi Arabia) being part of the opposing nations that are not involved in attacking Israel. We are seeing now a great melting pot in the Middle East – almost every nation is being affected – the storm is coming…

10 Arab states join the US in battle against Isil

A coalition of 10 Arab states threw their support behind Barack Obama’s pledge to destroy the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (Isil) movement in Iraq and Syria on Thursday. In a welcome boost to US plans for defeating the militant Islamist group, regional powers including Saudi Arabia and Jordan pledged to “do their share” in the battle. The announcement in Saudi Arabia was carefully choreographed, coming hours after the president told the American people that he would expand US air strikes against the militants, promising that Isil would ultimately be “vanquished from the Earth”. As Mr Obama marked the anniversary of the September 11 attacks with a moment of silence at the White House, the 10 regional allies — which also included Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates — issued their statement after a meeting with John Kerry, the US secretary of state.

All peoples / nations in this verse have been identified this week!

BIBLEQUOTE

(Ezekiel 38:13)

This is a remarkable coalition brought together by America. The terrible situation with the newly formed Islamic State has united 10 Arab nations with the US. What is interesting is who is forming part of this block and even more interesting – who isn’t.

It is also interesting what their stated aims are. So the nations in this coalition as listed above include all the nations in the Saudi Arabian peninsula. Plus Lebanon and Jordan.

Apart from Lebanon these nations correspond to the area described in Ezekiel 38 as Sheba and Dedan. We note from verse 13 that they are aligned with the merchants of Tarshish AND the young lions – America is a “young lion” offspring of the old lion Britain. Turkey is not joining this coalition and the US has ruled out Iran joining. The aim of this group is to defeat ISIS. But Obama went further and said that military strikes will happen on Syria where ISIS has bases. This has infuriated Russia. It’s another

push…

US, Arab allies hit IS strongholds in Syria, Iraq

Combined U.S.-Arab airstrikes hit Islamic State military strongholds in Syria and Iraq, and a simultaneous U.S. strike targeted an al-Qaida cell said to be plotting direct assaults on American and other Western interests, the U.S. military said Tuesday. President Barack Obama declared that Arab support for the airstrikes "makes it clear to the world this is not America's fight alone. We're going to do what's necessary to take the fight to this terrorist group, for the security of the country and the regime and for the entire world.” Army Gen. Martin Dempsey, the top American military official, said the U.S. and its Arab allies achieved their aim of showing the extremists that their attacks will not go unanswered. Obama said the U.S. was "proud to stand shoulder-to-shoulder" with Arab partners, and he called the roll: Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Bahrain and Qatar.

Sheba and Dedan are the same Arab nations in Obama’s roll call. America is a young lion.

Despite his best endeavours Obama has been dragged back into a war in Iraq (and Syria). The Islamic State or ISIS has shocked the world. Six months ago no one had heard of ISIS - now there is a war against them. The shocking brutality of ISIS has galvanised America into action. But what an amazing situation has occurred. As we read the “roll call” of nations who have attacked Syria this week we see the EXACT nations mentioned in Ezekiel 38. These nations correspond to Sheba, Dedan (ancient names for the Arab nations listed) and the young lions (America). These nations are also referred to as “the king of the south” in Daniel 11:40. What we have here is the modern king of the south attacking the ancient king of the north (Syria). This is a prelude to the modern king of the north (Russia) invading the middle east.

Saudis risk playing with fire as crude crashes

A deep slump in prices might heighten geostrategic turmoil across the Middle East. Saudi Arabia and the core Opec states are taking an immense political gamble by letting crude oil prices crash to $66 a barrel. A deep slump in prices might equally heighten geostrategic turmoil across the broader Middle East and boomerang against the Gulf’s petro-sheikhdoms before it inflicts a knock-out blow on US rivals.Caliphate leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi has already opened a “second front” in North Africa, targeting Algeria and Libya – two states that live off energy exports – as well as Egypt and the Sahel as far as northern Nigeria. “The resilience of US shale may prove greater than the resilience of Opec,” said Alistair Newton, head of political risk at Nomura.

And at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him: and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over. Saudi Arabia is part of the king of the south. Part of the push could be this situation with oil. Hurting Russia.

BIBLEQUOTE

(Daniel 11:40)

Oil prices have slumped and so too has the Russia rouble. The two things are connected. Russia’s economy depends on oil prices being over $100 a barrel. Now it is below £70 a barrel – and falling. The rouble suffered its biggest one-day decline since 1998 on Monday. Russia’s spy chief said this week “The U.S. and its allies are seeking to change the regime in Moscow through sanctions and attacks on the rouble and the oil price.” He clearly believes that the U.S. and its allies want to oust Putin from power and achieve regime change. Saudi Arabia (one of America’s allies) are also playing a role in keeping oil prices low. As the article above says this his a very

high risk strategy as it could lead to “geostrategic turmoil across the Middle East ”.The pressure is building fast. Putin has spent 20% of his currency reserves (trying to prop up the rouble) in just months. The bear backed into the corner will not admit defeat and change tack. It will come forth with like a whirlwind / like a storm to cover

the land...

Britain to open new military base in Bahrain

Britain will open a new military base in Bahrain in a deal to increase cooperation in tackling security threats in the region. Gulf states including Bahrain have found common ground with the United States and European powers in opposing Islamic State militants, and its crown prince on Friday urged war on "evil theocracy".The country is part of a US-led coalition carrying out airstrikes on the extremist group, which has carved out vast areas of control in Syria and Iraq. Bahrain's foreign minister Sheikh Khalid said the deal "reaffirms our joint determination to maintain regional security and stability in the face of challenging circumstances”. "Bahrain looks forward to the early implementation of today's arrangement, and to continuing to work with the UK and other partners to address threats to regional security," Khalid said.

More preparation here but this time it is not the king of the north getting ready but the king of the south. Britain pulled out of this area at the end of British Empire. But this week it announced a major strategic reversal of that decision. Britain’s Foreign Secretary said that Britain was intending to take up a greater security role in the Middle East as the United States pivoted towards Asia. The base will host the Royal Navy's Type 45 destroyers as well as the two new aircraft carriers it is building. David Cameron's new government four years ago made reviving Britain's old alliance with the Gulf states the key priority of its foreign policy. This is exactly what the Bible says would happen. Britain (Tarshish) would be working with Saudi Arabia and the gulf states (Sheba and Dedan). Bahrain is one of the states on the Arabian peninsula that is covered by ancient Sheba and Dedan. We know the day is coming when the king of the north will come against the king of the south…

Oil prices plunge after Opec meeting

The oil price slumped to its lowest level in more than four years yesterday after Saudi Arabia defeated attempts by some members of Opec to enforce a cut in the cartel’s production. The oil producers’ group, meeting in Vienna, announced no change in its 30 million barrels a day quota in order to support the price of the fossil fuel, which is in the grip of a bear market after plunging more than 30 per cent since June.“We’re going to produce 30 million for the first half of the year,” said Abdalla Salem el-Badri, Opec’s secretary-general. “We have no target price; we are looking for a fair price”. In response, the price of a barrel of Brent crude, used as a global benchmark, fell more than 6 per cent to $71.25, the lowest it has been since September 2010, when the developed world was still emerging from the recession. West Texas Intermediate, the key US benchmark, fell below $70 a barrel, its lowest since 2010.

BIBLEQUOTE

(Daniel 11:40)

Something is going on here… Oil is the lifeblood of the world’s economies and one may think that lower oil prices is good therefore. Well of course it is but not if you are selling it! Oil prices would go back up if the Arab oil cartel cut back on production. But after a meeting this week they decided to keep production levels high. The price of oil plunged on this news. So why is the cartel acting like this. It is very unusual. Well two nations in the cartel stopped others from reducing production. The main nation was Saudi Arabia.

But Saudi needs $104 per barrel to balance its budget. It’s now close to $70! So why is it doing this? There is almost certainly pressure from America on Saudi to do this. Saudi Arabia has immense reserves and it can survive for some time by eating into these reserves. So why might America be working with Saudi to reduce the price of oil? The answer is punishment of Russia. Russia is really feeling the pain – see next

slide …

Iran and Saudi Arabia bicker over falling price of crude

OPEC kingpins Saudi Arabia and Iran were at odds this week over the reason behind falling oil prices in an indication of the pain being caused to many of the cartel’s 12 members. Iran’s oil minister, Bijan Zanganeh, has said that a “political conspiracy” is to blame for the dramatic slump in remarks that could signal that the Islamic Republic will try to exert pressure on OPEC to again consider cutting output. Iran, along with Venezuela, tried to convince OPEC to reduce its production ceiling from 30 million bpd at the Vienna meeting. However, the proposal was shot down by Saudi Arabia and a clutch of Gulf Arab producers that appear determined to provoke a price war with Russia and U.S. shale oil-drillers. Mr. Zanganeh’s remarks will lend support to the theory that the real target of Saudi Arabia and its allies such as the United Arab Emirates is the Kremlin.

I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords: Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet:

It is no coincidence that the price of oil has dropped so far and so fast in recent months. Oil is down 45% since June! Falling prices are crippling the Russian economy, threatening to plunge the country deep into recession and forcing the country’s central bank to intervene in order to defend the rouble. This is how America can hurt Russia. By in effect turning off its revenue. Saudi Arabia is a key ally of America and they would certainly be working together to bring about this oil price collapse. Putin said yesterday that he does not rule out the possibility of a price conspiracy between Saudi Arabia and the US on the market of energy. But as well as Russia we see Iran in pain as well. We know Iran and Russia invade Israel together as combined king of the north. We also know Saudi Arabia and America are king of the south. All the pieces are in place…
