Their descendants, now numbering more than one thousand, are known as "keyholders" and proudly display their keys on formal occasions, though these keys are entirely ceremonial. Certain of these founding families have declined, with some losing their wealth entirely, yet all of them they cling to their keys and the honors that go along with them.

However, this bank is not ruled by the keyholders alone. Some of the wealthiest and most powerful families of today are rather younger, yet their heads own shares in the bank, sit on its secret councils, and have a voice in selecting the men who lead it.

S X is a global online audio distribution platform based in Berlin, Germany, that enables its users to upload, record, promote, and share their originally-created sounds. The founders initially aspired to allow musicians to share recordings with each other, but the concept later transformed into a full publishing tool that also allowed musicians to distribute their music tracks.

In 2014, Turkey banned X because a user uploaded seven secretly recorded calls revealing private conversations between the Turkish Prime Minister and others.

N Nita Ambani‟s shopping list includes 25,000 pieces of X for her high-rise home, Antilla. For this, she settled on the 106-year-old Japanese brand Y. Interestingly, the big-ticket order was not placed at the exclusive showroom in Mumbai's Kemps Corner, a stone's throw from the Ambani tower. Rather, she chose Sri Lanka for this acquisition as Y is 70-80% cheaper there than elsewhere in the world, including India. This is because the Japanese brand has its largest manufacturing facility in Sri Lanka.

Her thrift, therefore, was complimented by social commentator Shobhaa De. "If she is indeed buying her X from Sri Lanka, I would say that she is a practical Gujju housewife, cost-conscious and sensible and I admire her for it," Ms De said. "Why should she pay five times more for something here? She is setting a good example for others to follow!"

Identify Y.

Q.4. During World War II, X was inspired to contribute to the war effort by designing a jam-proof radio guidance system for torpedoes. With the help of composer George Antheil, she drafted designs for a new frequency-hopping spread-spectrum technology which they later patented.

X and Antheil realized that radio-controlled torpedoes, while important in the naval war, could easily be jammed, which caused the torpedo to go off course. With the knowledge she had gained about torpedoes from her first husband, and using a method similar to the way piano rolls work, they designed a frequency-hopping system that would continually change the radio signals sent to the torpedo.

Their invention was granted a patent on 11 August 1942. Yet, it was technologically difficult to implement, and the U.S. Navy was not receptive to considering inventions coming from outside the military at the time. Only in 1962, at the time of the Cuban missile crisis, did an updated version of their design appear on Navy ships. The design is one of the basics behind today's spread-spectrum communication technology, such as GPS, Bluetooth, wireless and cell phones, and Wi-Fi networks. (Image on next slide)
