1. OnceyouhaveuninstalledallexistingSAScomponents,youmaystartinstallingSAS.Insertthe
DVDorUSB.2. OpenthefoldercontainingtheSASInstallationfiles.3. Locateandclickon“Setup”file,asinthebelowscreenshot:
4. Ifyou’reaskedwhetheryouwanttoallowtheprogramtomakechangestoyourcomputer,chooseYes.
5. LeaveEnglishselectedforthelanguageandclickOK.
6. Makesure“InstallSASsoftware”ischeckedandclickNext.
7. ClickNext.
8. Select“InstallSASFoundationandRelatedSoftware.”ThenclickNext.
9. ClickNext.
10. ClickNext.
11. Theexpirationdateshouldbe28FEB2016.ClickNext.
12. ClickNext.
13. ClickNext.
14. Makesure“UsetherecommendedJavaRuntimeEnvironment”isselected.ClickNext.
Ifthatoptionisavailabletoyou,moveontoStep15.Ifthatoptionisunavailabletoyou,clickBrowseandlocatetheJavafileinyourcomputer’sProgramfiles.
Doubleclickonthe“ProgramFiles(x86)”folder,ifit’savailable.Youwillonlyseeitifyouarerunninga64-bitversionofWindows.Otherwise,choosetheregular“ProgramFiles”folder.
Locateanddoubleclickonthe“Java”folder.
Thereshouldbeafoldernamed“jre6”.Doubleclickonit.
ClickOpen.
AfterlocatingtheJavafolder,clickNext.
15. Theprogramwillverifythatyouhaveenoughspaceonyourcomputertocompletetheinstallation.ClickNext.
16. ClickStartatthenextscreen.Thisstepmaytakeafewminutestocomplete.
17. ClickNextoncethelaststepisdonerunning.Thisstepmaytakeawhileconsideringthe
computerhas163downloads.
18. Leave‘DoNotSend’asselectedandclicknext.
19. ClickFinish,oncedonefollowingtheon-screeninstructions.
