• In November 2015 Defra established an Earth Observation Centre of Excellence with SSGP support
• The centre is a virtual team bringing together expertise across Defra agencies.
• Since 2016 Scottish Government, Welsh Government, Northern Ireland Assembly and Dept for Business Energy & Industrial Strategy have also joined in.
• A key early objective of the road map is to integrate EO into at least five policy areas to ensure cheaper, more effective, more customer focused delivery
• Three rounds of ‘making innovation operational’ R&D, two with SSGP support
• Transitioning applications into “business as usual”
