• India’s largest Paint Company with annual revenue of USD 680 million

• Third largest paint company in Asia• Has offices in 22 countries and 30 paint

manufacturing facilities and serves consumers across 65 countries

Need

• To have closer relationship with customers• Launching it as a service brand• It required call center capabilities that would

include activity management for customer calls and activity scheduling

• To Standardize sales delivery processes• Institute an online ordering and accounting

system for providers

Implementation Process

• Used a two phase implementation• Transferred existing CRM functionality

(service, sales and partner channel management) to the new release over a 3 month time period

• After short period for evaluation and stabilization, they configured to support additional customer service process

Setting Stage for success• Formed a steering committee who meet every 45 days to review the

progress and to take key decisions

• First, end users were encouraged to stay involved throughout the project, which helped mitigate change management issues

• IT team used the SAP Net Weaver Master Data Management component to cleanse and harmonize master data before transferring it to the new environment

• Finally, the IT team conducted detailed integration testing, thoroughly vetting the connections between the new CRM application and Asian Paints’ other SAP and non-SAP software
