Koh 586-9386 St. Mary’s Round Table Reuben Mercado 775-0224 District Deputy # 3 Kevin Roche 775-2105 General Agent: Mark Lewans 949-0270 Chaplain’s Message Fellow Knights, Sincere thanks to the members of Santo Nino Coun- cil who along with the Pilon Family, erected the Blessed Sacra- ment Parish outdoor Christmas Crib. I always feel with all the commercialism surrounding Christ- mas, here in Regina, our outdoor Christmas Crib is a “silent sermon” to all the pedestrians who pass our Church on Scarth Street, about the true meaning of Christmas. Congratulations to Dr. Eu- sebio Koh on the publication of his latest book called Autumn Wind, which is a collection of short sto- ries, poems and essays similar to his first book, Like the Mimosa. At our Blessed Sacrament Remem- brance Day Mass I read one of the poems from Like the Mimosa. It is called ‘Coming Home’ and it described the death of a twenty two year old Saskatchewan man who died in combat in Afghanistan. Karen Lawson, who re- viewed Autumn Wind wrote: “The author has opened his heart and his mind to his readers. Autumn Wind is an interesting book with a new surprise on every page.” High praise indeed! Fr. Emmett Morrissey The Knights of Columbus are dedicated to the four pillars of Charity, Unity, Fraternity and Patriotism GK Gregg Ravasco, left, pre- sented the Star Council Award plaque for Columbian Year 2010-2011 to PGK Pete Escanlar at the November council meet- ing. This highest award given by Su- preme Council is for achievements in activities, membership and insurance. SIX NEW MEMBERS: Our council has 6 new members at the first degree exemplification held at Holy Trinity Parish on September 27, 2011. They are Mark Esguerra, Umberto Gonzales, Ferdinand Sampaga, Elmer Sayat, Vinedic Serrano and Angelito Yabut. Attending Members who wel- comed them were Ed Concepcion, Seb Koh, Rio Mercado, Dophy Alvarez, Rey Dimaano, Jose Santiago and Gregg Ravasco. On October 30, 2011, Bros. Gonzales, Sampaga and Serrano went on to the second and third degree exemplifi- cations at Holy Child Parish. (see photo on p. 2) Their Class Patron was Fr. Dan Rafael who is a member of our council.
