The oil should generously cover the bottom of the pan (or so, depending on the size of the pan). 2. Heat the pan over Medium/High heat. Put 3 test popcorn kernels in the pan. After test kernels pop, add 1/4 cup of popcorn kernels to the pan. 3. Take the pan off heat when the sound of kernels popping slows down. 4. Once you have the popcorn made, salt it liberally. For the marshmallow mixture: 1. Now make the marshmallow mixture. Melt 1/4 cup butter in a medium sauce pan. Once the butter is melted add 3 cups of mini marshmallows. Stir until the marshmallows are melted. 2. Turn off the head and add 1 tsp. vanilla. Be careful not to overcook. 3. Spread popcorn out on a prepared cookie sheet covered in aluminum foil or parchment paper. Make sure to remove all of the un-popped kernels. 4. Pour the marshmallow mixture over the popcorn, and gently fold the popcorn with a spoon until most of the kernels are covered in mixture. 5. While marshmallow mixture to still warm and sticky, quickly sprinkle the candy onto the popcorn, concentrating on the areas with the most drizzled marshmallow mixture. 6. Allow the popcorn to cool.
