Summer vacations are a much awaited time to relax and enjoy pleasurable activities, visits, outings with the family. This is also a time to explore different places and pursue our interests and hobbies and enrich not only the kids but ourselves too. We have designed a few worksheets to unleash the imagination of students and motivate them to explore, discover, and reinvent things around them. These would also help them to work independently and seek help as and when needed. A few suggestions for activities which can be enjoyed with the tiny tots at home and while travelling are listed below: Children can spend quality time with their family members enabling them to communicate and express about their own family, learn the names of their parents, family members and relatives. Develop self-management skills by inculcating a habit of keeping their things in proper place, learn to make their beds. Involving children in small household activities makes then responsible and independent. Little ones can go for nature walk with their elders and be encouraged to talk about the surroundings gaining knowledge about their environment and developing their vocabulary too. Take some time out to explore our own city and visit the magnificent historical places. Sharing stories are a fun filled way to pass on values and etiquette. Encourage children to listen and respond to stories by showing pleasure and demonstrating their understanding through gestures, expressions or words. They may also narrate it to others so that they develop their vocabulary, speaking and listening skills and confidence. Playing games like word antakshari, dumb charades, quiz etc. helps in embellishing their thinking skills. Outdoor games are fun and good for physical and mental exercise. Making collage of pictures or drawings related to visits, places, family members, also help in unleashing a child’s creative talent. Consume fresh fruits, salads, curd, juices etc. to keep cool during the summer days. It is advisable to avoid fizzy drinks. So Get! Set! Go! And enjoy the summers. WISHING YOU ALL HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

And have a lot of fun

Come back in July

To work, play and run!!

Summer vacations are a much awaited time to relax and enjoy pleasurable activities, visits, outings with

the family. This is also a time to explore different places and pursue our interests and hobbies and enrich

not only the kids but ourselves too.

We have designed a few worksheets to unleash the imagination of students and motivate them to explore,

discover, and reinvent things around them. These would also help them to work independently and seek

help as and when needed. A few suggestions for activities which can be enjoyed with the tiny tots at

home and while travelling are listed below:

Children can spend quality time with their family members enabling them to communicate and

express about their own family, learn the names of their parents, family members and relatives.

Develop self-management skills by inculcating a habit of keeping their things in proper place, learn

to make their beds. Involving children in small household activities makes then responsible and

independent.

Little ones can go for nature walk with their elders and be encouraged to talk about the surroundings

gaining knowledge about their environment and developing their vocabulary too.

Take some time out to explore our own city and visit the magnificent historical places.

Sharing stories are a fun filled way to pass on values and etiquette. Encourage children to listen and

respond to stories by showing pleasure and demonstrating their understanding through gestures,

expressions or words. They may also narrate it to others so that they develop their vocabulary,

speaking and listening skills and confidence.

Playing games like word antakshari, dumb charades, quiz etc. helps in embellishing their thinking

skills. Outdoor games are fun and good for physical and mental exercise.

Making collage of pictures or drawings related to visits, places, family members, also help in

unleashing a child’s creative talent.

Consume fresh fruits, salads, curd, juices etc. to keep cool during the summer days. It is advisable

to avoid fizzy drinks.

So Get! Set! Go! And enjoy the summers.

WISHING YOU ALL HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
