1 PROJECT OVERVIEW AND INSTITUTIONAL ARRANGEMENT
Lower Likhu Hydropower Project (LLHP) is a run-of-river (RoR) hydropower project which utilizes 118 m Gross Head and Design Discharge of 29.75 m3/s resulting an installed capacity of 28.1 MW. The entire project area (Headworks to Powerhouse) is located in LikhuTamakoshi Rural Municipality (Saipu-2 and Bijulikot-4) of Ramechhap Province-3. Geographically, the project lies between longitudes 86°15’38” E to 86°13’17” E and latitudes 27°25’56” N to 27°22’47”N.
Lower Likhu Hydropower Project (LLHP) was identified by Swet Ganga Hydropower & Construction Ltd. which received Generation License from Department of Electricity Development (DoED), the then Ministry of Energy (MoEN), Government of Nepal (GoN on 2ndBaishak 2073 (14th April 2016) for its implementation. The license period of the project is from 28thChaitra 2072 to 27thChaitra 2107 B.S Swet Ganga has signed Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) on 14thPoush 2073 (29th Dec 2016).

7. SOCIAL AND ENVIRONMENT
Lower Likhu Hydropower has been co-ordinating with local stake holders and representative from elected bodies for the smooth run of the project. As per the request of local community, and as a part of environmental and social works the following activities have been commenced at site:
Upgrading and Maintenance of road from Leti to Pokalli Ward office for ward no 9 of Likhu
Rural Municipality, Okhaldhunga district.
Upgrading and maintenance of road from Khalte to Gamnangtar for ward no 6 of Likhu Rural
Municipality Okhaldhunga district.
Agreement has been signed with local stakeholder to provide the existing Army Bunker
house as a health post after the commission of the project.
Upgrading and maintenance of Tilak Chautari at Ratmata.
Public Hearing program was held on 2075/10/12 at Arunodaya Higher Secondary School,
Fedi, Saipu, Ramechhap
Stone masonry foot-trail has been completed at Surge Shaft road.
Muck Disposal filling at low land which uplifted the low land up to the level of road and
helped the local people for housing propose.
Maintenance of irrigation canal by providing the 225 mm dia. Heavy HDPE Pipe.
Continuous watering on road to prevent the dust from Arunodhaya School to Power House
Area (Ratamata) along with Poku Dada.
Fencing around Arunodaya School by using CGI sheets for preventing noise from
construction area to the school.
Maintenance of the headrace canal of micro-hydropower project near our Powerhouse at
Ratamata.

10. ACCIDENT
Minor accident at Inlet tunnel.
Minor accident due to open blast at Headworks.
Both accident got immediate first aid and is resolved.
