Technology: MS Project 2010, MS OfficeSandra started her role as Programme Manager within the Standard Bank SA CIB IT Operations Team in July 2016 and is responsible for the following projects:

1. SWIFT Standard 2016 (regulatory) – This required the co ordination and management of 17 countries and 30 SA based systems requiring development changes and testing for SWIFT Standards. This project was run as AGILE. This was successfully completed – on time – 20/11/2016.

2. Group IT: Integration Remediation Programme. This is specific to CIB IT OPS applications and the remediation of the integration layer from MAX to ESB in Africa and JCAPS to ESB in SA. The clean-up of the requirements was completed with the BA’s in October 2016. The programme was put on hold until SWIFT Standards was completed. Current focus is on the EE remediation with SWIFT/AMH for Uganda and Nigeria. This piece of work is more Delivery Management orientated and is being handed over.

3. Cote d Iviore Programme (Ivory Coast) : This programme is opening a new CIB Bank in Cote d’Ivore and Sandra is Programme Managing the CIB OPS (IT and Business) component of this programme. Sandra was integral to the successful deployment of Nigeria in May 2016, subsequently she managed the enablement with the ACB Programme team for Zimbabwe and Zambia. Technology: MS Project 2010, MS OfficeAML (Anti Money Laundering) is a SARB legislative requirement for all financial institutes. Standard Bank SA has embarked on a programme to ensure the Bank is compliant across CIB and PBB.

The purpose of this project is to ensure that the CIB risk is mitigated where PBB is making changes to their systems and environment which will have an impact on CIB, such as Retail Forex, CIB CIF, Go AML and any other impacted downstream system (nBOL, iTAPS, ExImBls).

Sandra has been tasked with the management of this project for the CIB SAP Core Banking Programme and is responsible for all:

This project was within PBB IT for Business Banking Measurements, Insights and Analytics. It was for the provision of one view of customer within the BI Layer for effective reporting and analytics on customer profitability to enable effective cross selling.

The project team consist of : Solution Integration Manager Business Analysts Data Analysts ETL / Modelling and Testing Resources

The project covered all areas within PBB Business Banking that related to the Customer such as Credit, Capital, Forex, Trade, VAF, Home Loans, Debtors Finance etc and all the related source systems that are required to feed the relevant customer data. It requires the interaction between Business, Source System and Data Services to achieve the objectives.

Sandra was responsible for the full SDLC Project Management and all the resources on the project. The project approach was Waterfall according to the PMO Governance, making use of some of the Agile processes in order to assist in fast tracking the deliverables while ensuring adherence to the governance.

Sandra managed all aspects of the R20 million budget and was accountable for the successful delivery of the Scope within the agreed timelines and budget and was accountable to the top management of PBB IT, Business Banking Finance and Data Services.

Project had been stopped and PBB IT Projects were on hold due to the AML programme.

Sandra was seconded to Standard Bank (CIB IT Projects) as a Project Manager. Initially recruited to assist the SFDC Delivery Manager, within the CIB IT Change the Bank Project Team, and was given the responsibility of managing all the “Change the Bank” initiatives. This included being involved in:

While part of the CIB IT Projects Change the Bank team, Sandra was tasked to assist the Delivery Manager with the weekly reporting for all projects and related programmes and was responsible for all the Salesforce related Change the Bank initiatives and projects. It was the intention for Sandra to take over the quarterly project financial reporting and to be able to stand in for the Delivery Manager on “Run the Bank” initiatives.

In May 2013, Sandra was moved onto the Client Engagement Programme full time in order to Project Manage the Client Metrics and MI Stream. The Client Engagement Programme is a programme that is responsible for managing the move of CIB from a product to client centric environment. The Client Metrics and MI Stream are responsible for providing decision makers with a mechanism to allocate resources at a client level in order to optimise returns for the franchise and to provide the ability to measure the success of this allocation in a timely manner. Accurate MI and metrics is the foundation on which the cultural change to a client centric organisation is to be built within Standard Bank.

There are 3 areas within this stream and Sandra was responsible for managing:

1. Operational Model Change – for South Africa Central Client data and MI teams, with proposed changed for the Rest of Africa countries (16 in total).

2. Consumption Layer – Upgrade the Business Objects reporting layer and the dashboard for executives (Franco and Manco level)

3. Roll out of the GBM (Global Business Mart) client data source into Africa to integrate with the Client Revenue Tracking (CRT) system to facilitate the requirement for timely, accurate and valid data for Client Revenue and Capital reporting.

This programme made use of a more Agile approach to Project Management, however, the required minimum Programme Management Governance was applied in line with Prince 2

This entailed meeting with various business units to establish how their product works and to determine what would be required to move this to an android environment. Sandra was instrumental in completing the Full Business Requirements Document with other Business Analysts.

The next step in this process was to complete the detail Functional Specifications for the vendors / business areas for development and/or customisation. She completed the specification for the Device Set Up prior to leaving the contract.

Technology: HyperionSandra was deployed to Sasol Limited on an initial 6 month project which was extended for another 6 months. The assignment was to manager the HFM06 project and she assisted the Blueprint Program Manager in other areas, of which HMF06 was a part. The Blue Print Program was a large Financial Systems Program at Sasol Limited which covered the implementation of other Finance related tools in order to fully automate the entire Finance Process.

The HFM06 project was the third phase of the HFM project within the program and concentrated on the realignment of the Financial Accounting Structures within Hyperion across Sasol Limited. In order to achieve success on this project, Sandra was required to ensure that the project conformed to the Sasol BD&I Project Management Methodology, and met the requirements of the Sasol Finance Team.

Other areas of responsibility were:

Assumptions Tool:This was an additional tool which was part of the FST (Financial Scenario Tool) being implemented as part of the Blueprint Program. It was required to be available to users via the web. As the Standards and Guidelines also required integration with the Web, Sandra was tasked with this project as it made use of the same resources.

In March 2004 Edcon was established as HR Focus’s largest outsourcing client and Sandra was appointed as the Program/Business Manager for this account, while still maintaining her Account Management accountabilities. \

Program/ Business Manager (Edcon) (Apr 2004 – Nov 2004):The value of the contract was R6M per annum. The program started with 5 resources, and grew to 8 on site and 5 adhoc offsite resources.

In April 2005 Sandra was promoted into the position of HR Implementation and Project Manager. During this time she was the Program / Portfolio Management for smaller projects, Customer Services Manager for all HR Clients and managed the PMO.

In September 2006, the company was restructured into Business Units. At this point the HR and Payroll Consulting teams were grouped together and called Solutions Delivery which was headed up by a Business Unit Manager. Within this unit a Project Office was created and Sandra was responsible for this area.
