Traditionally during the Losar celebration, Gaden Shartse Monastery begins the Monlam prayers festival with the creation of a sand mandala of its protector, the 13-deity Yamantaka. In conjunction with the monastery, GSTDL & GSCF will also create this sand mandala at the center.
