The location, decorations, food, and friendship was fantastic. All the special awards were great and well deserved. Thank you everyone that attended. We have started our new fiscal year and we have a lot of promising fund raisers to look forward to as well as volunteers opportunities. Our next Members Meeting on August 9th will have a wonderful guest speaker Midsi Sanchez who founded Staying Alive. Her story as well as what she created is something you won’t want to miss. Please invite any friends or prospective members to attend, they will be moved and motivated. Hope to see all of you there. Dear Fellow Lions,

LCIF Contributing Member leads to Melvin Jones Fellowship
A Melvin Jones Fellowship (MJF) is $1000 donation to the Lions Clubs International
Foundation. There are 3 types of contributing member donations to get a bronze,
silver, or gold lapel pin for your donation of $20, $50, $100 respectively. All donations

Club Success Plan

Having finished my year as president of a high
performance Toastmasters club in our local
Toastmasters district, I wanted to share with you
how we follow a success plan and apply an
action plan all year to meet the goals set forth in
our club success plan. Several years ago, we
had a great planner, inspiring leader in our club
set forth for our future leadership a blue print we
could follow to meet our goals of becoming and
staying a high performance club in our district.
Joe has been gone from our club for 3 years yet
we continue to be a President’s Distinguished
club and earn lots of district credits in winning
district contests related to the operation of our
club. In Lions, Millbrae Lion Calvin Chin applied
a similar plan to his term and future leaders in
his club. Today, when one looks at all Millbrae
Lions does, it’s an amazing display of Lionism.
Next year, we lose our most valuable member to
retirement. A club success plan can help our
club survive her departure. Our goals and
projects, each officer’s contribution, is all listed in
