The first item in the pile Felix laid out looks like a giant bed sheet, folded up, with room for one arm to remain free. This is called a toga. Togas were traditionally for free Roman men to wear. Normally foreigners would not get to wear them, which was lucky for them as they were made of wool and men usually didn’t wear anything underneath!
