74 years of independence has seen many milestones and advancements in a multitude
of fields for this great, great nation.
Witnessing the recent events unfold in Afghanistan, I am reminded of a quote: "Do not
give a country to the people who have not struggled for it."
Hence, it is imperative that we pay due tribute to our freedom fighters lest we forget the
struggles of our forefathers.
From having Five Year plans to ensure food security, to planning to become a 3-trillion
dollar economy, it has been a long journey not without sacrifice and hard- work.
At this juncture, while we can exclaim in pride how far our country has risen, it is also
crucial to realize that it is only because of the perpetual importance being given to
education, that we have been able to move on to bigger goals and dreams.
Education uplifts not just people, but society as a whole. Many issues still plague India
that cannot be solved only through policymaking. Through achieving literacy as a
primary objective, the country moves forward in extending this goal to other
prerogatives Eg: Financial literacy at the grass-roots level (Jan Dhan bank accounts)
Digital literacy (Through various Digital India initiatives) and Social literacy through
democratic activism and media awareness.
There are ample examples to illustrate the power of education! For it was not lightly said
that "the pen is mightier than the sword".
To part with, I would like to leave you all with the words uttered by former President
Shri APJ Abdul Kalam: "Every teacher once was a student, Every winner was once a
loser, Every expert once was a beginner,But all of them have crossed the bridge
called 'Learning'" Never stop learning on your quest for knowledge, dear
studentsand realize your true potential.

A Trick on Sherkhan
One day, Sherkhan was telling Abeer about a lost sword of his religion. He said-“My
grandfather has seen this sword last time. If anyone has that sword no one can
defeat that person. But when he was fighting a battle he was killed illegally but the
sword flied and killed opponent king the sword landed where near my grandfather
and a gave came out of the ground and the battle ground was covered with forests.
No one tried to go there. Well, it is the time for royal court, Bye.”

library to view his Hastinapur's map. He saw a Batte ground in the previous map.
Then viewed the new map in which battle ground was covered with dense forests.
He marked that place and went on his way quietly. While going he saw a small boy of
a tribe crying. Abeer went to the boy and asked –“What is your name and why are

caves. Mohan told the way to caves. Abeer continued his journey to caves. He finally
reached the caves. But the door was locked. Outside the door there was a hole which
looked like Abeer's sword. He put his sword in the hole and the door opened. It was
slop from which Abeer slipped and hung on one wood he saw sword in the water. He
jumped and got sword and came out of the cave. He gifted the sword to his father

The Mysterious Sword
The theme of the 75th Independence Day is, "Nation First, Always First". It is to honour the
sacrifices made by our freedom fighters for our nation. The Prime Minister Narendra Modi
hoisted the tricolour and addressed the nation from Red Fort. The PM said that on this day, the
country remembers every person who contributed to the freedom struggle, as the country is
indebted to all of them. The British rule ended on 15th August 1947 and that's when India
became an independent nation. It also marks the anniversary of the partition of the
subcontinent into two countries, India and Pakistan. All citizens need to celebrate the
Independence Day, to keep the spirit of patriotism alive and display respect to the freedom
fighters who gave their lives for our independence.
