We are aware that last year Mr Bill Welsh in his capacity as ihe President of the Autism Treatment Trust in Edinburgh submitted a complaint against ou r client to the Generaj Medicai Council ("GMC") on fitness to practice an d professional conduct matters. Therefore our client was not given the opportunity to address his well founded concern about the publication of the details o f a complaint made to the GMC. As a matier of good practice this complaint should not have been published on the internet prior to n: being considered by th e GMC. Th e complaint is made against 12 Doctors but it names our client ''''''' .. ''',. ... the body of the complaint The complaInt contains false and defamatory allegations against our we identify below. We ar e also advised that the GM C is oo t intending to investigate the complaint an d has ciosed their file. Fo r these reasons We require you to remove the complaint from your website immediately. Defamatory statements Allegations in the complaint made against ou r client suggest that ou r client ha s ignored evidence; relled on spin and u n . $ U b s t a n t i a ~ e d data to support his view on the MMR vaccine; acted unethically and recklessly; deliberately Ignored evidence; acted as an accessory to a criminal act; lacks sound jUdgment; and that he has no t acted in the best interests of children.
