Preface
Today's business environment is shaped by several factors. Especially important are permanently growing competitive pressures and continuously increasing customer demands. Within the changing environment it is essential to know and to optimize your company specific business processes to meet those demands most efficiently.
Efficient process design gained a high importance within the last years. Because of the variety of variants that can be implemented with the SAP R/3-system, a profound knowledge of the business background is necessary to use its full potential.
The intention of this book is to provide the interested reader with applicable solution sets to implement the SAP R/ 3 SD module .
A more detailed description of the motivation and content can be found in the following introductory chapter.
Clearly we are always grateful to all our reaoers for their comments and suggestions regarding the content and structure of this book. We expressively encourage readers to send us constructive criticism and suggested improvements to this current, first edition of the book. We will do our utmost to respond to their suggestions .
