Dear Father Gerlach and Sister Regina, Just wanted to say thank you!!! Thank you for opening up the school and allowing the children to see their friends and classmates. Thank you for allowing us to go back to work to hear the kids laughing in the halls. Thank you for the morning mayhem of getting the kids out-the-door before the bus comes. Thank you for giving us some sort of normalcy, with all the worries, angst, stress, love and care of raising children. Saint Michael the Archangel Devotion to Saint Michael the Archangel is found in the writings of all the three major religious
cultures: Jewish, Christian and Muslim. You name it and Michael has been called it: the patron of scores of professions, trades, sports, cities, states and nations. All wish to be associated with the archangel whose name, Michael, means Who is like God? “Who is like God” as a name, is also a challenge, A lightening bolt directed at any enemy of God. Specifically, the battle cry that Michael and his heavenly forces aimed at Satan and the forces of darkness: “And there was war in heaven. Michael and his angels fought back. But Satan was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven. The great dragon was hurled down, that ancient serpent called the devil or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.” This is recorded in the New Testament, The Book of Revelation, chapter 12:7-9. The above article was written by the Franciscan Friars who are stationed in the Holy Land, Israel. The feast day of the Archangels is Tuesday, September 29.
Prayer to Saint Michael the Archangel
Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly hosts, by the power of God,
cast into hell Satan, and all the other evil spirits, who prowl about the world seeking the ruination of souls. Amen.
God bless you.
Father Mike Gerlach
A note of gratitude... Many thanks for the well wishes, prayers, and gifts I received from you recently when I came to officially say, “Good-bye" to the people of one of my favorite missions. I will miss you and, when the pandemic is finally over, you are most welcome to come visit at Camilla Hall. I’ll show you around and we’ll have a grand time. God bless you all.

Saints Simon and Jude School NEWS!! Classes continued this week with Covid-19 protocols in place. With warmer temperatures and sunshine, our students enjoyed outdoor time during recesses and gym classes. Many teachers also took the opportunity and moved some of their regular classes outside. On Tuesday, students in grades 4 to 8 joined a Google Meet to listen to speeches from our 8th grade Student Council Officers. I look forward to working with these young leaders throughout the school year. Following the speeches, our students in grades 4 to 7 held Student Council Representative elections. There will be a Student Council Installation on Monday, September 28. Thanks again to all our students, parents, teachers, and staff for all your hard work to make this a safe and healthy school year for the SSJ community.
Blessings, Sister Regina Elinich, IHM

If you are interested in participating this year, please call, email or text me at [email protected] or 484-995-2319. Thank you so much for your continued support and generosity, Cindy

Thank you all for continuing to support Saints Simon and Jude Parish. In this difficult time of “no contact” we have been blessed to have so many parishioners finding ways of continuing to support our Parish. One of the many ways of keeping everyone safe and continuing to support our Parish is using our electronic giving. This allows you to make donations either on an automatic scheduled basis, weekly or monthly, or one-time, without personal contact. You may make your donations either directly from your bank account or using a credit or debit card. Please visit our online giving page. From our Parish website home page go to “Ways to Give, then click Church E-give here”. Let us know if you have any questions on setting up your electronic giving by calling the Rectory office at 610-696-3624.
Stay well, be blessed and always, thank you for your support!
