WHO WAS SAINT PATRICK???
Before becoming “Saint Patrick”, Patrick was a priest (a religious catholic and Christian
person)
He was born in Scotland in 385 A.D.

He went to Ireland to teach people about God .
Some say he drove all the snakes out of Ireland. This is the
legend of one of his miracles.
Others say he used shamrocks to teach about the Trinity. Since a shamrock has 3 leaves: one of them was the father, the other was the son and the last one
was the holy spirit.
He died March 17th in 461 A.D. In his honour every 17th of March, Saint Patrick day is
celebrated.
WHAT IS A LEPRENCRAUN??

A very representative legendary creature is…THE LEPRENCHAUN
A Leprenchaun is a solitary fairy creature whose main occupation is: Mending shoes and playing practical jokes to everyone.
According to the legend, they are 3-feet-tall (a dwarf size or so) Leprechauns are unfriendly
and possess a pot of gold.
If you find a Leprechaun, you can trick him into showing you
his gold.
But if you don’t watch the leprechaun very carefully, he and the gold will disappear!
HOW DO IRISH CELEBRATE SAINT PATRICK DAY?
Irish dress up with fancy dresses, greet wigs and
colourful hats.
