Did you know: During the week, the Liturgy of the Word is marked by even, and odd year. We proclaim a reading, and a psalm, which are repeated every two years, but this does not happen with the gospel, that is the same every year. During the weekend, the liturgy is marked by three cycles A, B, and C. We proclaim first reading, psalm, second reading and gospel. And we are guided by the weeks that are proper to the liturgical times that the Church has. As I mentioned before, for all this we use the ORDO, ritual Book, published by the Holy See, for the administration of the sacraments or other liturgical offices. During the week, the Church proclaims a reading, psalm and gospel, the Liturgy of the Word, is marked by even and odd years, although the Gos-pel is the same every year. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Fellow Christians: Because Catholics believe that the celebration of the Eucha-rist is a sign of the reality of the oneness of faith, life, and worship, members of those churches with whom we are not yet fully united are ordinarily not admitted to Holy Com-munion. You may however, approach the altar with hands crossed on your chest to receive a blessing from the priest.
Receive Income and Help Our Parish: If you are over 65, would like additional in-come, a tax deduction, and make a gift to the parish endowment fund, consider a Charitable Gift Annuity. Your rate of return is based on your age. For an illustration, please contact Ju-liet Greco at the Catholic Foundation at [email protected] or 404-497-9440 or visit www.cfnga.org.
