THIS IS OUR FAITH The SACRED That Surrounds Us
Narthex (The Vestibule or Gathering Space)
Greek for “giant funnel”, it is the area of the church that you enter from outside, but before you enter the nave, the area in the church where
everyone gathers for Mass. It allows people to prepare for Mass before they come into the presence of the Lord.
We have been gathering as a Christian family for almost 2,000. When our Catholic community comes together at Mass, we are truly united, one
body in Christ. As we enter the church through the narthex and walk with others into the nave, we can feel that community of belief. We are all coming for the same reasons: to be disciples of the Lord and to be as close to God as we can. We cannot be any closer to God this side of
heaven than being present at the Mass, and there is no relationship more personal than that of Holy Communion.
We are happy to administer the Sacrament to those at home or in the hospital. Please notify the rectory when a family member is ill and/or in the hospital. In cases of shut-ins or chronic illness, please arrange with the office for a member of the clergy or Eucharistic minister to make regular visits. You are an important part of our parish family and we want to make the Sacraments available to you.
Sacrament of Baptism: Please contact the office.
Marriage: Please contact the office at least six months
prior to date of the celebration. Parish Bulletin Announcements:
Please submit in writing by 12 noon Monday. New Parishioners:
Please register at the Parish office, or online at pppnj.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

STEWARDSHIP Good Stewardship “Ask and you will receive; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.” LUKE 11:9 Jesus assures us that if we ask, God will take care of what we need. The problem is that our culture often confuses what we really need with what we simply want. Many people need very little. However, we usually want so much more. A good Steward only asks God for what he needs. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
