Annunciation of the Lord ~ March 25
The Christian celebration of
the announcement by the
angel Gabriel to the Virgin
Mary that she would con-
ceive and become the moth-
er of Jesus, the Son of God,
marking his Incarnation.
Lk 1:26-38 - And the angel
said to her in reply, “The
Holy Spirit will come upon
you, and the power of the
Most High will overshadow you. Therefore the child to
be born will be called holy, the Son of God. And behold, Elizabeth, your relative, has also conceived a son in her
old age, and this is the sixth month for her who was
called barren; for nothing will be impossible for God.”
Mary said, “Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. May
it be done to me according to your word.” Then the
angel departed from her.

celebrated the Passover at the
time of Jesus’
death. How
Jesus fulfilled the Sabbath. Why
Jesus was crucified at 3:00pm. How the Eu-
charist is foreshadowed in the Old Testament Passover,
manna, and bread of the presence. What the significance
is of Jesus’ side being pierced on the cross. The parallels
between the crucifixion and an ancient Jewish wedding.
What Jesus did during all of Holy Week, and the signifi-
cance of some of these actions. And more! For more info,
