2018 Annual Bishop's Appeal for Catholic Charities and Church
So far, parishes in our Diocese have pledged $3.6 million of the $4 million goal. This is 92%. There continues to be an ever-increasing number of needy persons coming to Catholic Charit ies for help and they depend on our support of the Bishop’s Appeal. Our parish has now exceeded
our goal. So far, 396 St. Mary’s families have pledged
$94,108.00. This is 109% of our goal. Any monies paid over 100%, w ill be refunded at 50% to our parish. We ask that you prayerfully consider making a gift to the Annual Appeal. Envelopes are available at the main entrance to the church. You can also make an online gift at ccdoy.org. Thank you in advance for your reflection and generous sacrif icial response to the Bishop’s Appeal as you have in the past.

either defend or clarify a question about our Catholic faith, do
you do it? Or, do you remain silent so that others don’t think
you are weird? Pray for the courage to be strong in all
circumstances and to share your witness with others.

Church in Alliance On June 16, St. Anthony will be visiting St. Joseph Catholic
Church in Alliance, in form of two relics. One relic is a
fragment of his floating rib while the second relic is skin of
his cheek. This relic will be accompanied by Father Mario
Conte, a Franciscan Friar from Padua, Italy, where the Saint
is buried. Please join Pastor Matthew Mankowski on
Saturday, June 16, for veneration and the Holy Mass at St.
Joseph Church. Prayer petitions with holy cards will be

parishioners to write their prayer petition to the saint. The
writing of a prayer petition is a worldwide tradition when
venerating a relic of a saint. Father Conte will bring the
petitions back to the Pontifical Basilica in Padua an d place
them at the tomb of Saint Anthony. The tour officially ends
