Saint Louis University offers more than 100 academic programs, many of which are highly ranked by U.S. World & News Report and various international organizations. All of the programs are challenging and relevant in today’s world. The University was founded on the Jesuit tradition of “educating the whole person.” You will complete a core of liberal arts courses in addition to your main subject of study. As a result, you will come to think about the world in a different way. You will also develop a strong base for solving problems and thinking critically, skills essential for your future. You may have already decided upon a degree program: engineering, business or international relations, for example. Sample plans of study are available on-line. AP, Cambridge A-levels, SAT II and IB credits can fulfill degree requirements, as can courses taken at other universities: your hard work elsewhere will give you a head start at the Madrid Campus. Not sure what major to pursue? Torn between economics or physics, philosophy or math, music or business? You can design the program you want, focusing on one area or bridging multiple disciplines. The liberal arts structure of degrees enables you to explore subjects before choosing a program. Faculty and staff will help you with these important decisions; they are 100% committed to you as a student. They will reach out to you before you arrive, meet with you during orientation and be there for you throughout your studies. The Madrid Campus pledges to provide you with the advice and resources you need to choose a career, find an exciting internship, write a senior thesis, get into graduate school or land your first job. Finally, as a SLU graduate, you are connected to over 118,956 alumni living around the world - more than 1,800 in Spain. You will become part of this international community of leaders who attribute their success, as you will too, to the formation they received at Saint Louis University.
