The upcoming holy days November 1st and 2nd are always felt full of memories, emotions. They also give certitude to our daily Life if we celebrate them under the Light of Faith. There it lays open for us the most powerful perspective: we are brought from our journey here, up to the Eternal Liturgy. BEATITUDE an inclusive word I chose for us called to enjoy the fullest of the riches of Christian Belief. We are not the first in discovering the treasurer that Jesus put in this part of his Gospel…”Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the Kingdom of God, blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted; blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth….blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy; blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God….(Mt 5,3-12).The Beatitudes are at the heart of Jesus’ preaching. They take up the promises made to the chosen people since Abraham. The Beatitudes fulfill the promises by ordering them no longer merely to the possession of a territory, but to the Kingdom of Heaven. Associates with the glory of Christ’s Passion and Resurrection they shed light on the actions of Christians building real discipleship as in the life of the Virgin Mary and the saints. The Beatitudes are a gift from Jesus’ Charity (gratuitous Love) in response to the natural desire for happiness placed by God in the heart to draw human being to the One that can fulfill it. Today we celebrate the profound finding: God call us to His own BEATITUDE.

PRAY FOR OUR ILL PARISHIONERS
CONFESSIONS
FEAST OF FAITH
Prayer after Communion The rites following the reception of Communion are very short. It is as if the Church is saying to us that the only way to respond to this great gift is to go forth and live it! But there are some significant rites yet before we are sent forth from the Mass. After Communion, we pray together in silence or sing a hymn; both are ways to thank God for the gift of the Son. Then the priest prays another collect, the Prayer after Communion. This prayer, usually very short, gathers our prayers into one. It reminds us of what we have already experienced: in receiving the Eucharist, we have received a foretaste of the heavenly banquet; we have eaten the bread of angels. This reality, this knowledge, should transform us, so that we may journey through this life with our hearts set on eternal life, and find in the Eucharist—which is food from heaven and daily bread—the strength and hope we need to work toward God’s kingdom of justice here and now.
OCTOBER 31 SPECIAL EUCHARISTIC CELEBRATION WILL BE ON THE LAST DAY OF THE MONTH OF ROSARY.
5:00 PM - Holy Mass - CHURCH 6:00 PM - Holy Rosary
The importance of maintaining emotional boundaries As safe adults we have a responsibility to set healthy emotional boundaries with the children in our care, most importantly because we are helping to guide a child’s development. In no way does this mean that adult-child relationships must be cold or uncaring. By maintaining healthy emotional boundaries, we as adults act as role models for other adults and for children themselves. For example, there is a big difference between being friendly and being friends with a child. For more information, request a copy of the VIRTUS® article “Emotional Boundaries” at lacatholics.org/did-you-know.
The KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS invites you to our
upcoming Knights Annual Memorial Mass on Sunday
November 7th at 9.30AM mass. Together we will pray
to honor those Knights that have gone before us.
