St. John’s Chili Cook-Off Wednesday, Nov 7 It’s time to brush off your recipe books and cook up your best pot of chili for St. John’s annual Chili Cook-Off! This year’s event will be held in Mitchell Hall this Wednesday, Nov. 7th, at 6:00 pm. If you would like to enter your favorite recipe or help with set-up/clean-up, please fill out the attached flyer and drop it in the offering plate. Suggested donation to cover the cost of ‘fixins’: $2 per person /$5 per family. Childcare will be available.
Stewardship Sunday, Nov 11 Stewardship Sunday is next week! If you did not receive a packet, you can pick one up from the table outside the office. AYM Lock-in at St. John’s This Weekend, Nov 10-11 Anglican Youth Ministries will hold a youth lock-in this Fri-Sat, Nov 10-11. For more information, see Fr. Estes.
Ryan Tour Docent Training, Sunday, Nov. 18 Docents are needed for the sanctuary and children’s chapel during the Ryan Place Christmas tour, Saturday and Sunday, Dec 1 and 2. If you can help, please sign up on the schedule sheet in Mitchell Hall. Fr. Klein will hold a training session for docent volunteers on Sunday, Nov 18 at 3:00 pm in the Sanctuary.
AYM Happening 2018 The seventh Happening hosted by the Fort Worth diocese will be November 16th- 18th at St. Vincent's in Bedford. This youth retreat is open to 10th-12th graders, INCLUDING those who have attended a previous Happening. The weekend starts at 8pm (check in is 7:00-7:45) on Friday and ends with mass starting at 9:00 am on Sunday. The closing ceremony and reception should conclude by 11:30 pm. It is $50.00 to attend. Scholarship help is available from St. John's for any of our youth who would like to attend but need assistance. Forms are available at www.anglicanyouthministries.com under “events”. Hospitality “Coffee Hour” is held every Sunday morning from 10:15-11:00 in the Parish Hall. Stop by after the 9:00 service or before the 11:15 for the fellowship. Visitors are especially welcome!
Nursery Nursery for infants through age 5 is located at the east end of the Education wing. Ask an usher for directions. The nursery is open from 8:50 -12:30.
Catechesis of the Good Shepherd and
Teen & Adult Catechesis
Proper catechesis for kids preschool thru senior high is held Sept-May following the 9:00 am mass. Adult classes are offered at the same time in the Guild Parlor.

Counseling Office Fr. Bob Bosworth, Ph.D. is on staff as Clinical Pastoral Counselor for

Low-Gluten Hosts St. John’s offers low-gluten (less than 0.01%) communion wafers on request. If you have a gluten intolerance issue please speak with one of the clergy.
Joining St. John’s? Just fill out the New Member Registration Form found on the wall rack in the Narthex or in the Office. If you are Anglican or Episcopalian we will process a letter of transfer for you. If you are from another denomination, you will be registered as a baptized communicant and we’ll let you know when the next Inquirers Class begins. If you are not yet baptized, please see Fr.
