Payment of Fees
- Payment of Tuition Fees & Transport Fees should only be made through online payment by the 10th of every quarter.
- The school reserves the right to strike off the name of the child whose fee payment is due for more than one quarter and if bus fees are outstanding for 2 months.
- Re-admission of students is solely at the discretion of the school authorities. - 90 days’ notice must be given before a child is withdrawn from school and the prevailing quarter’s fee must
be cleared. The same applies for the bus service. - Fees once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances. - The school authorities retain the right to change the fee structure or fee rules without any prior notice. - Fee increase in line with inflation” is to be considered normal every year. - Annual and Development Fee for the session 2021-22 must be paid by 10th March 2022 for classes up-to

General rules and regulations:
- Parents and their wards must at all times follow all the rules, regulations and procedures laid down by the management from time to time and should be very careful in their behavior and conduct with the teachers, members of the school staff and management.
- Parents are expected to conduct themselves in an appropriate manner befitting the institution both inside and outside the school premises. No unruly behavior will be tolerated.
- Parents are expected to come to the school in proper attire. Parents wearing shorts and Lungis will not be allowed to enter the School Premises.
- Our school is a poly bag free zone. All parents are requested not to send or bring articles like tiffin, stationery, craft articles,etc. to school in poly bags.
- Parents should sign the Progress Report and return it to the school within three days of receipt. If lost/ mutilated replacement will be made after the payment of a fine of Rs.200/- .
- It is mandatory for the parents to attend the PTMs. - The Progress Report Card will not be handed over to anyone else in the absence of the parents. In the event
of a medical emergency, an authorization letter must be given by the parents along with the photo identity proof of the concerned person collecting the Progress Report on behalf of the parents. The school management reserves the right to deny giving the report card if they feel that there has been a misrepresentation of facts.

and should be carried to school every-day. The parents should check the almanac every-day and note the homework and other instructions given. - When a diary note is sent by a teacher or member of the Administrative office, the parent/Guardian must
sign in acknowledgement of the note. - School Property - Care must be taken of all school property and if any damage is done, appropriate compensation has to be
provided. At times the whole class of the erring student may have to pay a “Joint fine”. This may be done in very special cases to make students learn the lesson of creative responsibility and discipline.
- Students are not permitted to bring mobile phones, smart watches, cameras, music systems, pen drives or electronic devices such as laptops to school without prior permission of the school authority. If found, the above will be confiscated by the school.
- The school is not responsible for goods lost. It is not advisable to bring valuable articles (expensive watchesor fountain pens) to school
- Leave Note - Absence of a student on the last working before a vacation and on the first working day after a vacation
would attract strict disciplinary action against him/her. - The child has to be present the whole day in school during exam days. No early dispersal will be permitted. - Leave for 1-3 days may be applied for through the school diary on the very day the child rejoins the classes.
Leave beyond 3 days must be applied through a written application. - For any other kinds of leave, prior permission must be taken at least 7 days in advance. - In case a student is absent for more than a week or more without any intimation in writing, his/her name
shall be struck off the school rolls. - For promotion to the next class, minimum attendance of 75% is mandatory. - Leave for half day should not be asked for. In case of any emergency, written permission must be taken from
the Principal through the Coordinator or the administrative office. - Sick children should be kept at home and not sent to school.
- In Case a student is suffering from any medical problem or illness, it shall be the duty of the parents to
inform the school in writing about the absence of the child along with a proper medical certificate. - Students afflicted by any infectious diseases must complete their quarantine period as mentioned and
produce a fitness certificate from a doctor when returning to school. (Chicken pox -21 days, Measles -10-14 days : Enteric Fever -14 days (approx.).
- Uniform - Students must turn up in properly laundered uniform and clean regular (school) shoes. - The girls must maintain neatly combed hair with 2 plaits and the boys must have a regular, neat hair-cut
appropriate for school. In spite of several warnings if a boy continues to come with long hair, the school authorities will have no alternatives but to suspend the child. Application of hair gel is not allowed.
- Students are not allowed to wear nail polish/tattoos under any circumstances to school. - Nursery to Class II students may wear coloured clothes (appropriate for school) on their birthdays. - Students will wear the house dress as per their PT Classes mentioned in the Time Table. - All students must wear their identity card to school every day.(Only 1 ID card will be issued/Child)
- No shouting, whistling or running is allowed in the school building and they are not allowed to throw things at others.
- Students are not allowed to bring any sharp instruments such as knives, paper cutter etc., to the school, or any kind of object that can cause injury to others.
- The school reserves the right to suspend or take disciplinary action against a student whose diligence or progress is constantly unsatisfactory, or whose conduct is harmful to other students.
- Escort Card - Escort Card must be produced during dispersal and no child will be dispersed without his/her escort card. - Escorts receiving children from the school bus should also carry the escort card. - No Duplicate/Photocopy of Escort Card will be entertained. - Loss or damage of the above card should be reported immediately to the school administrative office,
accompanied with a copy of the G.D. (General Diary). - Parents are requested not to approach the bus staff or any other staff other than specific accounts staff or
the staff assigned by the school for any kind of financial transactions. - Late comers will not be allowed to enter the school premises after 8:30AM. School shall not be responsible
for students who have come late and as a result are not allowed into the school premises. - The school will not be held responsible for any injury suffered by a student or for his or her loss of life
during activities such as games, sports, swimming, expeditions, etc - All the students in the school will be divided into 4 houses namely, Columbus – Blue House, Mahatma
Gandhi- Green House, Da Vinci – Red House and Albert Einstein – Ochre House. - Private Tuition - School teachers are not permitted to take tuitions of students of our own school except with the permission
of the Principal. Approaching teachers with tuition requests without approval of principal will be considered as an act of gross indiscipline.
- Address Change - Any changes in address/Telephone numbers must be intimated to the school in writing as and when it
occurs. - T.C - One clear calendar month notice in writing must be given before the pupil is withdrawn. - Those who leave school before the completion of the academic year must in all cases clear all dues before a
Transfer Certificate is issued. - If the student intends to leave school during the academic year he/she must collect TC within 15 days of the
last attendance day. No. T.C will be issued if one claims for it 2 months after leaving school. - The security deposit must be claimed within two months of leaving school failing which the amount will be
forfeited. - A student may be asked to leave on Disciplinary grounds or Non-Payment of fees. - TC charges Rs.500/- (To be deducted from security deposit)
School Transport
- Parents are not permitted to board school buses to see off and receive their wards. - Parents are strictly forbidden from travelling in the school bus for any distance whatsoever. - Parents are not permitted to make any changes in the pickup and drop points of their wards. They must give
a written application to the school requesting for such changes. - Parents should not try to overtake and stop the school bus to facilitate the boarding of their wards as this
endangers the safety of the bus and its occupants. This act would lead to strict disciplinary action. - It is essential that an escort should be waiting with the child when he/she is picked up, and also when
he/she is dropped at the given location. If no escort is found at the scheduled time and place the child will be brought back to school. Escorts must carry escort cards.
- A student using the school bus is expected to be at the bus top at least 10 minutes before the scheduled arrival of the bus.
- The bus will not wait for late comers. The bus drivers/ staff will not call the parents. - Parents must inform the school authorities in advance by written application if a child is not availing the bus
on a particular day. No phone calls will be entertained regarding the same except in the case of a medical emergency or death in the family.
- Students who are not being met at the drop point by an Escort must submit a written application with an undertaking to the school management. The school will not be held responsible for any untoward incident that takes place after a student leaves the bus.
- Students are allowed to use only allotted bus and bus stops. No change will be allowed without prior permission of the school in writing.
- Drivers are authorized to stop buses at the designated stops only. Unless otherwise directed by the bus in charge. The list of all stops is prepared keeping in view the convenience and safety of all bus commuters and is always subject to change. No diversion/extension will be entertained on existing routes.
- Students will be held responsible for any damage to bus caused by negligence or vandalism. - Unruly behavior like shrieking/ shouting/ putting hands or head outside the bus is strictly prohibited.
Students are expected to behave decently with fellow students inside the bus. Boys and girls travelling together should maintain their dignity without hurting each other’s self-respect.
- Students are bound to listen to the male and female attendants that travel in the bus and obey their instructions.
- Students found misbehaving in the bus for the first time will be given warning note in the Almanac by the bus in charge or the discipline in charge. For a second offense the student will be issued a Purple card which means that it would be the 2nd and final warning. Third time offenders will be issued an Orange card which means that the child will not be allowed to avail the bus service for a week. Should the child continue to misbehave in spite of receiving an Orange card then the child will be discontinued from availing of the bus service for the entire academic year.
- Library - Books will be issued to students of class II and above. - Each student will be issued one book at a time for a period of one week. Violation of this norm may invite
suitable deterrent action, in the form of a fine, which may amount to the withdrawal of the library facilities for the student for a limited period or for the whole academic year.
- No book will be further issued unless pending items are returned. - Strict silence must be maintained in the library. - Reference books are not for issue. These books can be consulted in the library only. - Books marked, damaged or disfigured will have to be replaced by the borrower. - Students are not allowed to bring their personal books or belongings to the library. - Any students found damaging or defacing a book regularly will be debarred from the library for the whole
academic year. - Students must return the books within stipulated time, otherwise fine will be charged as per rule.
Canteen Rules
- Food must not be taken out of the canteen - Food from outside will not be allowed in the canteen premises. - Food will be sold by coupon only on first come first serve basis. - Students must purchase coupon from admin office with-in the Short Break. - Students must not litter the canteen - Wastes must be disposed off in the dustbins provided. - Swimming Rules - All swimmers will have to produce a medical certificate certifying that they are medically fit for swimming.
No children will enter the pool area without a teacher’s permission. - Shower before and after swimming. - No pushing, dunking or rough play, no running around the pool, no jumping or diving unless under
instructions from a teacher or coach, no food or drink allowed on the pool deck. - Appropriate swimming costume provided by the school must be worn. Students not wearing the swimming
costume will not be allowed into the pool. - Please go to the toilet and blow your nose before entering the pool. - Those suffering from skin infections and fever must not enter the swimming pool. - Do not enter the pool if you have a cut or open wound anywhere on the body. - Listen to your teacher and enjoy your swim. - The school reserves the right to restrict entry to the swimming pool of any student whose appearance,
manner or conduct is unacceptable to the school. - Book Store Rules - The book store will remain open from 08:00 am to 04:00pm. - Students are allowed to go to the book store during the Short break & Long break. - Students are not allowed to visit the book store during school hours. They may visit the book store once
school is over for the day. - Parents are allowed to visit the bookstore between 08:00 am to 04:00 pm - Goods once sold will not be exchanged.
Noncompliance of these instructions can result in expulsion from the school. Role Nos. of the Studentswho do not follow the school rules or behave in an undisciplined manner may be withheld based on the code of conduct issued by CBSE.
HOSTEL RULES AND REGULATIONS
HOSTEL OVERVIEW (A FULLY AIR-CONDITIONERED CO-ED HOSTEL)
The hostel of SIS HOWRAH, a unit of SAINI GROUP of Schools motivates the students to varied and deeper levels of physical, intellectual and emotional growth. The hostel life at SIS HOWRAH is a judicious mixture of restrictive and open but well protected environment, to enable the students steer out of today’s complex social environment prevailing around us. There is a 24 hours vigil around the campus. The hostel doors are closed from 9:30pm to 6am.Only parents and authorised guardians may meet their ward during the visiting hours. Academic studies after the school hours are mostly carried out in the classroom and hostels under the supervision of the teachers and the hostel warden. Physical fitness is ensured through YOGA, PT, EXERCISES AND GAMES. Excursions, outings and shopping tours are organised for the boarders at regular intervals.
FORMALITIES BEFORE JOINING THE HOSTEL. Before a student joins the hostel, the following documents/formalities must be completed on a separate proforma.
Authority Letter from their parent approving a maximum of TWO LOCAL GUARDIANS along with their complete address, phone number and photographs.
No student will be allowed to be nominated as a local guardian. The appointment of local guardian must be approved by the Principal. A letter signed both by the parents and student stating that no mobile/cash, costly belongings except
those prescribed by the school are retained by the student. A health certificate with the complete medical history of the student.

GUIDELINES FOR PARENTS OF THE BOARDERS:
Parents should meet their ward only on weekends (Saturday &Sunday) and during school holidays. Parents / guardian can meet their ward only in the reception area. Parents are not allowed to enter the
student’s rooms except when leaving their ward for the first time after admission and after school vacations.
Parents are not allowed to stay after 6pm in the school premises/hostel. Hostel gates close at 9:30 pm and no entry or exit is permitted after that.
On second weekends parents are allowed to take their ward for a long outing from Friday 4pm to Sunday 6 pm after obtaining an OUT PASS from the HOSTEL WARDEN/A.O
Only parents / guardian whose photographs are kept in an authorized register are permitted to visit the students and take them for long weekends. Parents are requested to submit the photographs of the authorised guardians to the office.
Parents are allowed to provide biscuits, chocolates and fruits to their ward but in small quantities as
excess quantity of food stuff encourages the students to avoid their regular meals. Junk and unhealthy food is not allowed.
Parents/Guardians are requested to park their vehicles outside the school campus .Whenever they are carrying luggage for their ward, they may contact the A.O to take the vehicle inside to drop the luggage only.
Parents may meet the Principal/ other authorities on working days with a prior appointment. In case of emergency the parents should contact the HOSTEL WARDEN/A.O Parents/Guardian must ensure that his/her ward returns to school on time after every vacation /leave. Parents/Guardian must not give any medicines to their ward without the knowledge of the hostel
warden.
GENERAL RULES FOR THE BOARDERS Bullying is banned. No one is permitted to subject any other student to any kind of ill-treatment, either
physical or mental. There is a continuous effort to instil a high moral behaviour into the boarders. If any child is found involved in any immoral act, he/she is liable to be expelled without warning and there will be no reconsideration whatsoever.
Students should strictly follow the hostel time-table. The students should behave in a good manner with the HOSTEL STAFF. The students are advised to give importance to health and hygiene. In case of any ill-health, it should be
brought to the notice of the HOSTEL WARDEN immediately. The use of laptop, I-pod, mobile phones, musical instruments, electrical gadgets like heaters, irons etc.
and reading unwanted books are strictly prohibited. Students are not allowed to keep the valuables, jewellery and any other articles which are not approved
by the school authorities. The students are not allowed to move from one place to another room during the STUDY HOURS and
also during the free-time. Students should not bring any alcohol, drugs & tobacco to the hostel DRESS CODE- Students must wear their school uniforms during school hours, school trips, official
gatherings and whenever they are asked to do so. Students are not allowed to wear low waist trousers or skirts or narrow bottom trousers. Students are expected to be modest & presentable when they wear casual clothes.
Girls are not allowed to wear any kind of jewellery apart from small earrings. Keeping make up items are not allowed.
Boys are not allowed to keep long hairs. Hairs should not touch their collars. No bracelets, fancy pendants to be worn by the students. POCKET MONEY- A amount of Rs. 2000 need to be deposited to the office at the beginning to the
session. Rs 200 will be given as a pocket money per month to the boarders. Students are not allowed to keep any money or cash with them.
CLEANLINESS AND HYGIENE-All students are expected to maintain a high standard of personal hygiene. Daily bath &personal cleanliness is essential. Students from classes IV onwards need to keep their own rooms, bed & cupboard clean.
All hostel property must be handled with care. Damage to furniture, fittings, equipment etc will be recovered from the student’s account.
STUDY HOURS:
DURING EXAMINATION-5PM-8PM 8:30 PM -10PM
DURING NORMAL DAYS-6PM-8PM 8:30PM-9:30PM
MESS RULES: Mess menu will be designed by the mess manager on term basis on approval by the Principal. The menu
shall be displayed in the dining hall of the hostel. The students should strictly follow the mess timings. Late meals/breakfast will be served only in
exceptional cases with prior consent of the mess manager. On request from sick students separate food will be prepared in the mess and will be served in his/her
room, if so required. Wastage of food in the mess must be avoided.
CONSERVATION OF RESOURCES:
Taps in bathroom/toilets must be closed, whenever they are not in use. AC, fans & lights must be switched off whenever the students leave their rooms. They must switch off all lights, when they go to bed.
