Introduction
SP3110, your new VHF-transceiver, is approvedto fulfil the GMDSS-requirements to portableVHF-transceivers, and so it is a part of therequired safety equipment to be used in anemergency situation.
However, the best way to guarantee functional-ity in an emergency, is to use the equipment inthe daily work on-board, as a useful communica-tion media.
This is possible, due to a unique concept, withthe PRIMARY EMERGENCY BATTERY, storedfor the emergency, and a SECONDARY RE-CHARGEABLE BATTERY for daily use of yournew portable VHF-transceiver.
This concept secures at least 8 hours operationtime, even at minus 20 C° at sea.
ECI has developed the first portable VHF-transceiver to be used as you normally use atelephone. This feature gives you a much better com-munication quality in noisy surroundings.
SP3110 2
Furthermore, you have all the internationalsimplex channels, quick selection of distress ch.16 and two additional user programmablechannels, and a lot of other useful features.
