History of Sailing

For thousands of years, wind was the only source of energy that would allow for man to travel long distances over seas such as the Mediterranean or the Atlantic Ocean. These were distances that were too long to just use muscle power and paddles only.

Sailing Terms

Knowing the terminology that sailors use is helpful when learning to sail. It is difficult to follow directions when you don’t know what they mean. Knowing sailing lingo is important if you plan on sailing.
