Sai IT
With swami’s infinite grace, the IT wing of SSSSO Palakkad is very active now in the district. Ever since the
inception of IT wing, the volunteers are engaged in all organizational activities in all areas like reporting,
promotions, digitizing the balvikas, SAI ONE registrations, online meetings etc., we are trying our
maximum to automate all the organizational processes. Giving below some of the achievements and
innovative ideas which we have implemented in our district so far.
Website updates
The district website is up to date with all activity reports.
Digital Balvikas
Power point presentations (in English) of Balvikas chapters (Group I) to attract the kids to balvikas.
The PPTs will have the sloka, its meaning, stories related to it, pictures, bhajans, value songs and
value games. We have also started using the content in 2 - 3 balvikas classes. The response was very
positive.
A collection of animated videos of Value stories which could be used by the Gurus for the students.
Reporting
The reporting has now become very smart and hence all the activities are getting reported correctly by any
of the respective samithi members.
Thursday Headlines
A newsletter named ‘Thursday Headlines’ is being published since August on all Thursdays. A new system
which would give a clear idea of what all happening in our district.
District meeting in a different way
The IT wing has taken few steps to digitize the district meetings. Previous month evaluation, current
month Agenda, Snaps of some special activities will be projected on the screen. The meeting has become a
different experience for the members. We decided to give a new face for the meetings because of the
following reasons.
Office bearers will get a clear idea as of what all happening in the district
First step towards making the meeting ‘Paperless’
Members would come up saying there function is not been shown which would be because they
would have forgotten to put the snaps and reports In the Whatsapp groups or other social media.
By seeing this, they would also rethink and start posting their samithi activities.
This also brings more attention in the meeting since the office bearers will not be provided with the
hardcopy of the Agenda and hence they will have to pen down every points.
Special Newsletters
The IT wing has released special newsletters on Sri Sathya Sai Bhagavatha Sapthaham which was held at
Cherplassery in the month of September and ‘Nattupacha - 2016’ (7 day NSS camp at Karinjalippallam,
adopted village of SSSS Chittur).
