THERE ARE ALL KINDS OF EMERGENCIES OUT THERE THAT WE CAN PREPARE FOR.

TAKE A ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE FOR EXAMPLE. YOU MAY LAUGH NOW, BUT

WHEN IT HAPPENS YOU’LL BE HAPPY YOU JOINED US, AND HEY, MAYBE YOU’LL EVEN LEARN A THING OR TWO ABOUT HOW TO

PREPARE FOR A REAL EMERGENCY.

What’s the deal with Zombies?

Page 11: Saginaw High School Health Occupational Students of America

A recent national poll by Adelphi University Center for Health Innovation  surveyed 1,000 Americans about their personal preparedness behaviors and the results show that we’re not ready: More than half of Americans have not

prepared copies of crucial documents  48% of Americans lack emergency

supplies for use in the event of a disaster

Page 12: Saginaw High School Health Occupational Students of America

42% of cell phone owners do not know all their immediate family members phone numbers

More than half of parents do not have a designated meeting place in case of a disaster

Page 13: Saginaw High School Health Occupational Students of America

"If you are equipped to deal with a zombie apocalypse you will be prepared for a hurricane, pandemic, earthquake, or terrorist attack.“

So, we are going to ◦make a kit ◦make a plan ◦and be prepared!

Center for Disease Control:
