What tests will I undertake?Lecture, theory assessment, practical training & assessments. The assessments are a series of multiple choice questions, ladder & step fault finding, also Carrying and positioning ladders & step ladders. Pass mark is 80%.

What will I need to bring on this course?Protective footwear & suitable clothing for the practical session.Do I need any previous experience?A working knowledge of ladders & Steps would be an advantage but is not essential. All delegates MUST be physically fit and able to carry out any practical during the service. All delegates must hold a valid Ladder Association Users certificate and Photocard ID to attend this course.

Will I receive a certificate? Yes, a certificate & photocard ID will be issued to successful delegates who complete the theory and practical assessment sessions.This will last for 5 years.

How long does the course last?½ Day (4 hours)

Who is this course Aimed at?This course would be ideal for operatives that use Ladders, Steps & Scaffold Towers as part of their work. This will show them how to use the equipment correctly & understand the current legislation.

Who is this course Aimed at?To ensure personnel are trained to a high level of competence in erecting, Mobilising, inspecting, dismantling Alloy Scaffold towers.

What will I gain from taking this course?Operatives and managers should gain the necessary competence to apply current legislation in relation to employer and employee responsibilities and duties of care, this would include how to carry out legislated Inspection procedures, how to assess W@H hazards, equipment and conduct thus reducing injuries by ensuring correct erecting mobilising and dismantling techniques.

10 Nationally Recognised Accredited Low Level Access & Scaffold Towers – Combined Course

Who is this course Aimed at?The Nationally Recognised Accredited Combined Low level access course & Mobile Tower Scaffold course is ideal for operatives that use both low level access units & Scaffold Towers. This course offers convenience & flexibility of two courses in one day. If you assemble, move, dismantle, inspect, and/or use scaffold towers, then this course is for you. Rather than spending two days away from site and the added cost that this can incur, we can combine both courses into one full day’s training.

What will I gain from taking this course?Operatives will have the knowledge of how to safely assemble, dismantle & relocate low level access & Scaffold Tower units without risk of personal injury to the delegate or others. They will also be able to safely inspect the equipment prior to use.

Who is this course Aimed at?The Nationally Recognised Accredited low level course is recommended for any person who uses low level access equipment. Items including Podium Steps, Folding and Low Level Access Towers have become increasingly widespread in the building industry. This training is aimed at staff & operatives from all workplaces such as construction sites, schools, hospitals, colleges & shops, and industrial units. This training course is ideal for operatives that are using access equipment that is 2.0m or below.

What will I gain from taking this course?Operatives will have the knowledge of how to safely assemble, dismantle & relocate low level access units without risk of personal injury to the delegate or others. They will also be able to safely inspect the equipment prior to use.

Who is this course Aimed at?Employer’s / employees who, as part of their operational duties, must carry out or supervise any projects when working at height which may involve the use of harnesses & lanyards.

This course would also suit managers, charge hands, maintenance staff and supervisors who also manage any work at height that would require the use of harnesses.

What will I gain from taking this course?It aims to provide delegates with basic practical & theoretical knowledge required to effective select and use fall arrest & restraint equipment and to carry out pre-use harness & lanyard inspections. Managers and supervisors will be able to assess whether their work force are using harness equipment safely and in harmony with current safe working practices.

Work at Heights Training

Who is this course Aimed at?The Work at Heights training course gives candidates the underpinning knowledge of the Work at Height Regulations 2005 and other health & safety law. It also gives an overview of risk assessment relating to safe working at heights. This course targets employers, the self employed and any person that controls the work of others such as facilities managers or building owners.

AimsThe aim of this course is to keep it simple and real, whilst all the key subjects are covered of how to work safely at height. The course concentrates on what the delegate really needs to know for the type of work being done, for specific applications and work locations.

What will I gain from taking this course?Attendees should complete the service with knowledge of the Work at Height Regulations 2005 and other relevant health & safety law. Its also give an overview of risk assessment relating to safe working at heights.

On completion of this course delegates will be competent to work safely at height with strong hazard awareness and sound theoretical knowledge and practical experience of using fall arrest equipment. Delegates will have the ability to assess the risks and requirements needed for safely working at height n their scope of work.They will also be able to use their job specific fall protection equipment with a high level of efficiency and confidence, as well as have the practical ability to utilize the equipment correctly and safely.

Manual Handling

Who is this course Aimed at?Our Manual handling course meets the needs of anyone whose work involves lifting or carrying loads. The course translates across all working sectors and all age groups and forms part of the employers Health & Safety statutory requirement.The Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992 apply to a wide range of manual handling activities, including lifting, lowering, pushing, pulling or carrying. The load may be either inanimate – such as a box or a trolley, or animate - a person or an animal. This guidance gives useful practical advice for employers, managers, safety representatives and individual employees on how to reduce the risk of injury from manual handling.

Who is this course Aimed at?Operatives whose duties are to include working with and changing abrasive wheels equipment Inc: Hand held Grinders/disc cutters, STIHL saws, bench mounted grinders, cut off saws.

What will I gain from taking this course?Attendees should complete the service with an understanding of the necessary control measures required for safe use of abrasive wheel equipment, include selection and fitting of disc’s and cutters.

Managers and supervisors will be able to assess whether their work force are using abrasive wheel equipment safely and in harmony with current safe working practices.

What tests will I undertake?Lecture, theory assessment, practical training & assessments.

What will I need to bring on this course?Safety footwear, Gloves, High impact Goggles or Visor P3 dust mask & hearing protection.

Do I need any previous experience?All delegates MUST have had a minimum of 3 months employment. They must also be physically fit, able to carry out the practical assessment and have sufficient experience in the work place to be deemed competent to use the equipment after successful training.

Will I receive a certificate? Yes, a certificate of training in the safe use and pre use checks of hand held abrasive wheels equipmentThis will last for 3 years.

How long does the course last?With this being a half day course (4 Hours), we can carry out 2 sessions in 1 day to cater for larger groups. Alternatively, we can pair this course with another ½ day course like Ladders & Steps, Manual Handling, Harnesses & Lanyards or Work at Heights.

Who is this course Aimed at?This course is ideal for a member or organisation that is likely to find them taking charge of a first aid emergency or assisting a qualified First Aider. Although not a compulsory requirement, Health & Safety executive recommends this course for those who are ‘appointed’ to take charge of first aid provision if the number of employees and occupational risks are low.

What will I gain from taking this course?This Emergency First Aid course is designed to offer essential basic skills and knowledge required to administer emergency first aid at work until someone more qualified is available to take charge of the situation.
