Safety and Supervision Established safety plans The I ASP puts extensive safety plans and procedures in place for all programs. W e regularly review and update plans to ensure the safest IASP environment possible for your child. All staff members receive mandatory training on safety plans and procedures. The IASP is monitored by certified S ecurity Officers during hours of operation. Student identification badges Ensuring the safety and security for IASP participants is our top priority. Student Identification Badges will be provided to every student and EVERY student must wear their ID badge at all times so that IASP participants are readily identified and allowed access to all activities and events. Students are required to stay with the IASP team at all times. Staff selection and training Our highly skilled and experienced staff members are carefully screened and undergo back- ground checks. Every volunteer and staff member completes an application and participates in an interview and reference check. All volunteers and staff are trained on the IASP’s Code of Conduct, classroom management, and Policies and Procedures. Communication planning Comprehensive communication plans are put in place prior to the start of programs. Staff members remain in constant contact with each other and with the on-site office. Emergency communication plans are also in place, allowing us to communicate directly with parents or guardians in the event of an emergency. An emergency response network is in place to provide assistance after hours. Overnight accomodations All overnight students will stay at a Hotel. Rooms will be single sex with 2-4 students per room. Chaperones will also being staying in the hotel for monitoring and supervision. Small group supervision Students are supervised by professional faculty advisors and staff at a ratio of no more than 10to-1. This ratio ensures we can oversee all student activities and locations. There are at least two senior staff members at each program location.
