Safe Work Month 2019 Safe Work Month, held nationally each October, brings work health and safety to everyone’s attention and reminds us to keep the whole picture in mind.

This year’s events feature high profile speakers, safety and return to work experts, entertainment and giveaways and provide opportunities for your business to receive great exposure to workers and employers from a vast range of industries throughout Queensland.

We are expecting to attract more than 5500 delegates across 13 Safe Work Month events, offering an excellent opportunity for your business to receive targeted brand exposure through a variety of communication channels.

With 89 sponsorship opportunities available, show that your business is committed to work health and safety by becoming a Safe Work Month sponsor.

If you sponsor more than one event, you will receive 10 per cent discount on the lesser value sponsorship.

A diverse range of delegates attend Safe Work Month events to talk about creating safer workplaces including educators, health providers, rehabilitation workers, claims consultants, safety advisors, management, workers, local and state government staff and organisations providing products and services to the workplace health and safety industry.

Safe Work and Return to Work AwardsDate: Wednesday 9 October

Time: 11.30am – 1.30pm

Event format: Seated lunch

Venue: Royal International Convention Centre (Royal ICC) Brisbane show grounds, Bowen Hills

The Safe Work and Return to Work Awards recognise and reward organisations and individuals for their contribution and commitment to work health and safety and return to work excellence. Sponsors have the opportunity to receive brand exposure across Queensland on marketing materials from May to November 2019. The awards ceremony gives sponsors the opportunity to network with more than 300 award entrants and industry representatives and present awards on-stage with Queensland Safety Ambassador, Shane Webcke.

The Awards ceremony is a great opportunity to recognise and celebrate commitment to work health and safety and return to work excellence. Approximately 250 individuals, workers and safety professionals will attend.

Injury Prevention and Return to Work MasterclassDate: Tuesday 15 October

Time: 12.00pm – 2.30pm

Event format: Classroom

Venue: Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre (BCEC), Cnr Merivale & Glenelg Sts, South Bank

The Masterclasses will provide delegates with the opportunity to focus on key safety and return to work areas including fatigue, pain, workplace conflict, and occupational lung disease.

The masterclass series will feature

Transformational work design: The SMART work model

Current and emerging occupational lung disease

Event format: Full day conference followed by a networking function

The Injury Prevention and Return to Work Conference will focus on innovation, culture and good work design and address the needs of those working on the frontline of work health and safety and rehabilitation and return to work.
