Q & A Question Response
1. When was the last time SACSS reviewed the various streams?
2. Since my daughter is more interested in arts, I'd like to know which choice would be the best for her.
3. Will we have 1-on-1 guidance after we get the SA1 results?
1. A review of the subjects offered to Sec 3 students is done annually.
2. Subjects offered will be covered by Mdm Ang, you may wish to discuss with the Form Teacher during the classroom session
3. Academic support is given throughout the year for small group remediation to help students who are experiencing difficulties. Students are also free to make appointments with their respective subject teachers if they would like 1-on-1 consultations.
4. Why is there a lot of homework every day?
Homework is given to help students consolidate and crystalise learning and facilitate revision through increased practise and exposure. The coordination of the amount of homework is done in the classroom; all HW given is recorded on the class board and teachers and students can work together to regulate the amount of work and deadlines for submission
5. The female toilets should have an attached water hose as some students may require water instead of toilet paper

Implications of taking 8 subjects
• Lessons end later than the rest of the school,
with 2 days ending at 2.45 pm
• Students have to cope with the demands of 8
subjects; for example, more tests and exams
papers
• Taking more subjects may not lead to a
better L1R5 or ELR2B2
Drama or Music Elective Programme
(DEP / MEP)
• Students who show exceptional aptitude for Drama
or Music may apply to take it as an O-Level subject
• Lessons are conducted twice a week in the
afternoons, from 2.45 pm to 5.45 pm
• To be selected, students have to meet the subject
criteria as well as possess good learning attitude
• Parents who are interested may find out more
information from Ms Kang Chee Hui (Subject Head,
