Goal

• To align and update SACS “No Transportation Zones” Or NTZ’s

Page 3: SACS No Transportation Zones Update: 2014. Goal To align and update SACS “No Transportation Zones” Or NTZ’s.

Why?

• Fiscal Responsibility: At a time when many districts are planning to eliminate all transportation services because of budget cuts, SACS is being fiscally proactive, positioning the district to continue transportation services for those who do not live in an NTZ

• Fairness: We enforce No Transportation Zones at three of our elementary schools

• Fitness: Research supports that when parents enable students to walk/ ride a bike to school, they are healthier, calmer and more alert
