The MINISTERS of Marriage• The groom and the bride
are the ministers of marriage. They minister the Sacrament of marriage to each other!
• The priest or bishop asks for and receives their vows.
• Some bishops share this ministry with their deacons, too.Slide 2 of 6
The MATTER of Marriage
• A man and a woman who are able to marry each other

The FORM of Marriage
• A person playing the priest part says “Since it is your intention to enter into marriage, join your right hands and declare your consent before God and His church.”

• Then you place your hand on the Plasma Globe and say “I, (name), take you, Plasma Globe, to be my Plasma Globe. I promise to be true to you in good times and in bad, in sickness and in health. I will love you and honor you all the days of my life.”

The GRACE of Marriage• Unites the husband
and wife as truly one• Gives the husband and
wife a real share in the love between Christ and His Bride, the Church
• Gives them strength to live marriage and family life well
Notice that the rings are nice but they don’t make a man and woman into a husband and wife---the vows do!
