BAR BENDING SCHEDULEINTRODUCTION

• Bar Bending Schedule is a chart which describe the shape of bars, length of bars & total amount of steel is to be used in the specific design.

• BBS procedure is a semi automatic, fast and cost saving procedure.

• Reinforcement is a major part of any construction project. Managing this component is crucial, if project are to be delivered on time and within budget.

• BBS means a list of reinforcement bars giving their location and details of cutting and bending..

SCOPE OF WORK

• RCC detailing: preparation of Bar Bending Schedules & Shop drawings.

• To solve the problems in placing reinforcement at site through “Cut & Bend” System.

• Preparation of RCC detailing drawings as per BS & IS.

• Checking and detailing of Re bar drawings & Bar Bending Schedules as per client drawings based on BS: 4466.

SCOPE OF WORK

• Attending detailer’s queries as and when required.

• Review of drawings and technical documents approval from client.

• Achieving the Quality output & the target dates in scheduled time frame.

• The deliverables of drawings from AutoCAD Software & details from Excel software will be delivered to client according to there need.

ABOUT PROCEDURE

• The rebar cut & bend division produces reinforcement drawing (dwg) , which includes bars in the required lengths & bent for use in reinforced concrete structures.

• Reinforcement bars processed 8mm to 32mm in diameter with maximum of 12m in length.

• Each length of bar with shape codes are mentioned in BBS. ( IS & BS Codes )

• Auto CAD & Excel.

ADVANTAGES

1. BBS is helpful to view the total steel quantity for the whole project at a time.

2. We will be able to order steel before casting.

3. It is used for view in floor vise and Diameter vise summary.

4. BBS will help in smooth functioning of bar cutting & bending system for whole project.

7. Saving in space at site, time, man power, overhead cost, inventory.

COMPARISION

• BBS (If Done) : Activities like Purchase, Planning usage , Cut n Bend, Check

Investment, Check Projected v/s Actual cost can be done effectively.

• BBS (If Not Done) : It Impacts activities like Project Cost, Balance mechanical Checks,

Over Ordering, Wastage Control.

• When (it is done): It works as a controlling tool to know where we have made a

mistake and find out who has made the mistake.

which has led to excess of rebar on the project.
