Parts can be either suspended on a loading support or either placed in fixtures/ baskets. Handling
Loading occurs either with a crane or transfer bell, which can be seen on the photo on the left.
After the treatment cycle in the furnace, the load can also be transferred to the quench tank either by crane or transfer bell.

Conception
Pit furnace is equipped with the following elements :
Light insulation
System of heating either by electric or gas
Cylinderic metallic retort installed within the furnace
Moveable plug with motorised opening and closing devi-
ce, supplied with convection fan and gas feeding injector.
The load is supported on a inferior plug , that avoids ten-sile stress of the retort and perfectly adapted for a useful
load weight of several tonnes
POT FURNACE
For heat treatment under atmosphere with cooling under protective gas
PIT FURNACE
For heat treatment under atmosphere with quenching in liquid or gas

Conception
There are 2 different models of pot furnace:
a) Pot without convection fan of atmosphere, temperature max. 1100°C
This pot is suitable for heat treatment when it is not necessary to have high temperature precision such as bright annelaing of mechanic parts, wire or band coils.
b) Pot with convection fan of atmosphere,
temperature max. 1000°
This pot is fitted with a turbine and system of gas gui-ding, which assures an efficient convection of the at-
mosphere
We obtain an excellent heat transfer and reliable ther-mochemical homogeneity of the complete load. These conditions are necessary for treatments such as carbu-rizing and nitriding.
Functioning
Loading
Parts can be either suspended on a loading support or either placed in fixtures/ baskets, which are loaded in the pot.
Handling
After loading the parts in the pot, this unit is closed and purged under vacuum or neutral gas. This chamber is filled with gases to achieve suit-bale working parameters.
Pot is then loaded in a hot or cold furnace. When the treatment cycle is completed, there are 2 ways to proceed: a) Pot is cooled in the furnace with the help of a cooling fan b) Pot is transferred to a specific cooling station
