The document describes the schedule of a configuration which is valid for the user software CDS 3.xx or higher.
Schedule
2 possibilities are provided:
Device selection / configurationdefine / change
Definemonitoring fields
Device selection=Type of sensor, I/O- moduleConfiguration =Restart, EDM, Fields etc.Note: pay attention to correct type of sensor
Connect the scannerwith the CDS
Connect =link CDS software via serial interface to scanner
Check fields and function
Read out of connected device,receive and modify configuration
(„Identify“)
New project(possible in offline mode; requestedfor new, not configured devices)
Confirm configuration with safety fieldsand transfer
Establish a configuration for "stationary" applicationsNote: The present quickstart shows a quick and easy method to establish a configuration. The configuration islimited to the basics, options are not handled in the quickstart.Basic knowledge about scanner functionality as well as about Windows operation is required..
Start Scanner and CDS

After start of the CDS program, this blank dialogwindow appears, showing a structure of a"project tree".
Please ensure that the CDS version 3.xx orhigher is installed.
Note:The numbers of the interfaces COM1 and COM4,as shown, are PC specific and may be differentwith the ones in your window view.
Now, the device window appears in which theindividual functions should be parametrized.
For navigation, a tree structure is provided on leftside of the window.

To the right, a view of register cards appearsadditional to the tree structure which may beused to navigate alternatively between theindividual functions.
In the dialog window System parameters you canedit specific names for
- application- device- user

change to card Resolution/scanning range andselect
Application variant stationary
Resolution for Quickstart 70mm(what should be detected?)
Note:While selecting the a.m. parameters, please payattention to the scanning range, depending onresolution and response time.
