Do it yourself streaming is relatively easy. Some free

software for your laptop and away you go! To move a step

above we created this "kit". It consists of a streaming

appliance with streaming software, a higher end pan tilt +

zoom camera with presets and some support. Support is

important since you are likely going to run into unexpected

difficulties with connection to your streaming service

provider.

Open Broadcaster Software (OBS) is a free "open source"

streaming and recording application designed to run on

Windows ™. The software is completely free and has a

relatively easy to use GUI which makes it usable by the

average person. These factors collectively led us to choose

this software as the application for this low-cost streaming

kit.

This kit is brought to the market with the goal of providing a

"streaming kit" that brings together all the pieces needed to

start streaming in less than 4 hours. In all fairness you can

download the OBS application and pull together all the pieces

yourself. Our added value is the collecting and testing of a

quickly usable set of components. Our kit should make you

Application Example

Procedure for Facebook

1) Plug small wall adapter into the camera (DC 12VPort)

2) Plug USB cable into the camera and streaming box

3) Plug HDMI cable into the monitor and hook up to the

streaming box

4) Plug in keyboard and mouse into streaming kit (USB)

5) Plug in Ethernet cable into port 2 for internet into the

streaming box

6) Plug in USB mic into streaming box

7) Open OBS Studios on desktop and select Input Source,

Camera. If the camera view does not show up immediately then

double chick on 4K camera under sources, and then go to devices

and select FHD Camera.

8) Click on Settings > Stream

9) Service > Facebook Live> Copy Stream Key (Look at Figure 1.)

10) Get Stream Key> Create Live Stream> Copy

11) Paste code into OBS Studios> Stream Key

12) Make sure all Mic's are turned off except for the headset

(Look at Figure 2.)

13) *Start Streaming > Green light in the lower

right hand corner shows you are LIVE. (Look at Figure 3.)
